The "Smart Loot" Concept

Out of curiosity, what do you all think about ZOS implementing a "smart loot" concept?

Meaning if you were playing a class which was heavily magicka oriented, magicka-based sets and items would drop. And if you were playing a stamina class, the same. This would help tremendously with dungeons and things like VMA, where as you'd have a much higher chance at getting destruction and restoration staves as well as monster set pieces in the appropriate item type and trait.

An example would be doing VMA, and instead of getting succession rings in robust when you're playing a magicka-based character? You'd receive an arcane succession ring. When you open the final chest as a magicka character, you'd not have to worry about getting a 1H. You'd be receiving a destruction staff or restoration staff. If you're doing say a VCoH run, the helmet would drop in light or heavy with max magicka enchant on it. If you were doing VICP, you'd see Scathing Mage and other magicka-based sets drop if you are using a magicka build. And so on.

Make sense? It would cut the RNG down quite a bit, and would solve a lot of people's issues with RNG. It would also probably motivate people to do things like VMA, and other content out there. Being as they'd feel as though there was a "light at the end of the tunnel", and a means of getting closer to their dream end-game build(s). What's you all's opinions and thoughts on this?

Token system is still better, but this would already be a step In the right direction.

But as an altaholic with currently 7 characters level 50, I want whatever I can get, if it has no use on the character that is picking it up, it could have some use on another character.

Not a bad idea but I think it might hurt the trading economy a bit. I wouldn't mind seeing tokens either.

Both are better than the current RNG

And if people complain the tokens hurt the economy. Create a Token Bundle you can trade.

Requires X crafting mats: Bundle 10 tokens and sell it. (Maybe make Specific token bundles ? Light Armor tokens, Weapon tokens, etc. So professions have a use In the token system?)

It keeps the RNG because the different tokens (Light Armor, wooden weapon, etc.) would drop randomly, buy you can buy Specific ones from players .

That would spark the economy A LOT lol.

Make it a toggle and maybe.

Honestly, I'll be happy when prosperous and training are removed from loot drops. The first step is to get the itemization team to actually understand how horrible that implementation was then get them working on things that take a bit more logical thought.
