✭I sometimes turn off the in-game music and just have the ambient sounds to keep me company. But occasionally, depending on what i'm doing or what character i'm playing, something like the following can really set the mood;

I usually listen to the in-game music. But sometimes, when I go fishing, I like to listen to this kind of music (especially when fishing at night in Valenwood):
And sometimes, when I fell like battling myself through a dungeon, I like to listen to something fast and loud. Normally only for a song or two - the music usually distracts me too much from what I am doing. But I discovered that this track can really put me in the right mood for fighting :

I am born 1988, but I have heard about quite a few in your list - even I could not list specific songs from those bands. In general I am not that much into music, which has vocals or a melody - I like rythm made from sound samples - deep house, detroit, full-on, progressive, psy and goa, minimal, sometimes even trance - to name a few. But I listen to a huge range of music nevertheless - lately more to south africa music, which is as well already a couple of years old - Kwaito mainly.

has vocals and a melody, but I like it nevertheless. "Mafikizolo nisixoshelani" means "the newcomers pursue", well, newcomer is my interpretation, the Zulu word Mafikizolo actually translates to "new arrival" and is the name of the duo.
Ok, here a sample of what I mean with Detroit style - you might not be familiar with it - that is the kind of music I really like. Not sure if you would call it music at all. But I often say, maybe our children will some day just empty a recycling glass container and jump with ski boots on it and that will be their music -
- now listen to detroit and imagine to non-stop dance to it - a quite good workout, you don't need a fitness studio with it

✭I have a wide array of tunes and quite a diverse collection of songs. 10 hours worth for a good rainy Sunday and all day ESO gameplay, from rock, alternative rock, metal, to soft listening and instrumental. Some examples of so many.. from Linkin Park, Daughtry, Five Finger Death Punch, Amberlin, U2, 3 Doors Down, Aerosmith, Bullet for my Valentine, Airborne Toxic Event, Metallica, Altered Bridge, Trapt, Arcade Fire, Skillet, Staind, Lifehouse, Imagine Dragons, Breaking Benjamin to older hits from the 80s and 90s, the Cure, and yes, even soft hits from likes as Petera Gabriel, Peter Cetera, Jefferson Starships and yes, a song or two from Cher. Just collections of songs that move the soul.. no shouting or screaming nonsense. No Justin Bieber.. Lol!1 -

Speaking of soundtrack, what ever happened to that ESO Volume 2 soundtrack that was supposed to release with all the Orsinium music? After what her *** of an ex-husband did to her and going through the stench of time thereafter of seemingly her almost self-destruction, she has pulled herself together fine, and despise all the shites with her, she still doesn't look half-bad... although no where near her pre-douch bag ex-husband days. Sorry, going off into a tangent here. I was actually in love with this girl back in the days.. ha ha. But yes, all is entitled to their type of music.
