Complaining about complaining never ends well. You do have a point though getting burned out does that to you I mean why else was resting exp or enlightenment a feature?

Huh, Black Desert feels messy and unfinished. In ESO you have group content as soon as you hit level 10. In BD I'm level 15 and I'm still looking for any group content.

BD quests are jokes compared to ESO high quality narrative, the lore is unexistant.

People complain because they're passionate and want to see it improve.

Those who don't care about the game and truly hate it do just walk away. Many however are angry that something they love is doing so badly and seems in some areas to have gone downhill, thus they voice (write) their anger to help vent or try to shine light on areas in need of improvement.

There are quite few repeatably slagging this game wherever they can and whichever thread they can troll to a point that these forums are totally poisoned, especially for someone new lurking here.
Sometimes I even feel for Zeni members when list of threads looks like sea of moan and hate, it's depressing even for me so usually I just enjoy the game and staying away from here.
There are problems and they are inevitable in big scale mmo but most of the threads have absolutely nothing to do with rhetoric discussion of how to solve them, it's much easier to just keep creating useless spam with 'this game is broken or dead' nonsense.
I respect people who when bored or not enjoying it anymore just moving on instead hanging on only for purpose of slagging and hating, trying to prove their point that if they don't enjoy it, no one should.

Sounds to me like sensible approach actually.
Since the game is based on proven P2W business model, incentives to pay have to be built in to the game. Quests and content are such incentives, mere obstacles on the way to max level, cool gear and an epic mount, that are to be bypassed by paying money; they do not have to be high quality, they just need to be inconvenient enough and preferably cheap (to make).
As for lore, well, lore accurately describing state of things would be rude and distrubing, while lore whitewashing it would be false and absurd. Therefore it only makes sense to go ahead without any.

Do I love ESO.... yes. Am I happy with the state of the game right now.... no.

I can't touch 3 of my characters right now. Two of them are doing the quest in Elden Root. The other is doing Orsinium.

I'm not gonna come on the forums and be all doom and gloom because I know how it goes with mmo's. I'll either level alts or play something else until the game is in a better state.

I complain because I love the game. Otherwise I wouldn't be playing it if I hated it and I wouldn't be on the forums too.

Exactly. You can't play a game that doesn't work.

However I liked the game so much a kept playing even after my brothers got fed up and left. The DB issues and exploit/hack debacle were the last straws for me.

Still have time on the the old sub though, so basically I'm doing the same as you: waiting. My "doom and gloom" only comes from past experience when I've seen games in this state and heading in the direction ZOS is going. They didn't end well, and I really hope things will change.

Not sure how the exploiting hacking affected you I had the meteors drop on me all Memorial Day weekend. I knew it would get fixed when ppl at ZOS were back to work. No biggie. I literally had nine meteor drop on me at one time and then I probably had 200 plus on me by weekends end. Still had a great weekend still made an Azz ton of AP.

It's not about me. The game needs a solid community to survive. That community isn't just me or just you. It's everyone. And while you may be fine with people cheating/hacking/etc. there are a whole lot of others who aren't.

Are you even reading what I wrote? This isn't a "nerf templars" or "make crafting bags crown store" crap. I'm talking about basic freakin' functionality being broken for weeks or longer. I'm talking about code base defects that allow for things like CE to even work. I'm talking about persistent issues that have remained in the game since beta. I'm talking about serious bugs reported by people on PTS servers that don't get addressed and are released to live.

I don't care about the creative direction. I don't care about nerfing this, or buffing that, or what is or is not in the crown store. I care about the actual playability and integrity of the game. Because if a game has playability and integrity issues, then people will either not play it or stop playing it. And I WANT people to play it because I like the game and want it to stick around.

I'm being neither vague nor subjective. The board is full of examples of these issues.

You know I hate the game for the same reasons you do, almost exactly.

But I do complain at forums because regardless an unconditional love for the franchise, I do have hopes that this game will do better, and I don't like seeing it put into the same bag of countless MMOs with simply a TES tag attached to it.

ESO advertises itself as a TES, then you gotta pay tribute to it, gotta earn your name and show that wherever we roam, we are in TES universe. This is no easy task, many titles with hordes of fans and lovers to face are attained to it. This is why we are here and we complain at the forums instead of just uninstalling the game and moving on.

And I do have better games to play, and they are being played, but ESO also interests me, and I've paid for it, what gives me the right to an account and access to the forums, just like everyone else in here, and of course I've agreed to stay under the TOS so please, you don't like complaints, me neither, really, it is awful to have people bashing the game you love, but don't try to tell me to shut up because you are not forced to read or participate in any thread, and many lately decided to manifest their overall disappointment with Elder Scrolls Online. I try to tell ZOS that ignoring will actually make me go away, but not without fighting for the game I love first!
