Recently I was called a potato .

Preface

While strolling merrily through Cyrodiil taking back resources solo , I encountered a most difficult person to kill at the farm near Blue Road keep . A couple close calls and I managed to beat down this rather tanky defender and went back to the NPCs . Still struggling with a healer an tower Mage this ferocious warrior returned with a sorceress healer . The battle went on an after finally focusing down her , I was able to scare off him again . He retreated to the castle .

Back to the topic

This tanky DK sent me a whisper saying "you're a potato." I asked what's that mean ?" He said "ask another potato."

What just happened here ? Why am I a potato ? What is this potato business all about ?

    He is trying to call you a bad player. If you won both fights then he is the potato.

    It didn't feel like a compliment . It made me log out an go look in the mirror . Then I decided I was more like sizzling shrimp in awesome sauce . Although I gotta stop skipping leg day .

    Just to break this down:

    It comes from old school internet JPEGS getting artifacted more and more as they are shared/compressed.

    Eventually it begins to look like the picture was taken with a potato.

    This has translated into potato being basically anything inferior quality/cheap/bad
    Tl;dr really weigh the fun you have in game vs the business practices you are supporting.

    Potatoes behave like lemmings. For example, DC potatoes potato into Chalman, feeding EP defense ticks, daily.

    I don't see in your context where you potatoed into anything...but if you won both fights, then he potatoed into you the second time.

    Next time this happens, thank him for the d ticks and be on your merry way. ;)
