Capture Milegates and Bridges.

With the whole capture town coming next patch me and some friends were talking around about it and I suggested that ZoS should also add in that factions can capture the milegates such as the Chalmen milegate and bridges such as the Alessia bridge and well they all agreed that would be a pretty good idea.

Concept being is the gates would be shut and only the controlling faction can go through it such as the Scroll gates while the enemy alliance has to siege it and capture the flag(s) while the bridges would be open but heavily defended and possibly have a Alliance banner champion controlling the bridge that the enemy alliance has to kill to gain control of the bridge.

Reason being is that it would provide extra defense to the alliance controlling it and give more to PvP which alot of players been asking for cause most know the milegates (or near them) and the bridges are PvP hot spots so why not get AP for assaulting and defending them ?

Thoughts and ideas.

    There are already enough people who shouldn't be in cyrodiil wasting time fighting over a bridge. Giving some of them an even better place to farm newbs is not something Telel thinks is wise.

    BUT Telel thinks making the bridges destroyable, and adding river crossing options to the game would be nice.

    The whole destruction of bridges sounds like a very cool idea, and the unused gates can be made claimable/destructible.

    Need more objectives like that to make Cyrodiil feel big again.

    Destructible bridges and gates. Good ideas would allow for alliances to say defend scrolls better cause it would allow the alliance who scroll was stolen to block/cut off the short route.

    I think people really enjoy fighting on the bridge because it truly is a wonderful place to fight, the various hiding spots, LOS obstacles, the different levels and small spaces make it just a joy. I was thinking more along the lines of competitive PvP, 8v8 with a flag in the middle of bridge, the team to successfully capture flag OR team with last man standing wins. Pair this with a ranking system with points and possibly different modes (Capture the flag, Team death match etc) and I think a lot of guilds that want to have organized competitive PvP will be thoroughly pleased.

    As much as I am for the town's being captured, I feel like stacking the whole group on a flag is a boring play mechanic, especially when various pve options tell you to operate switches, split the groups to toggle other switches, boss aggro mechanics, etc.

    I'm just wondering if we are just selling ourselves short just to get ZOS to put out a pvp update.

    I like the escourt mission idea but then again you're adding more PvE to PvP . Duel arena is coming . When you look at Cyrodiil there is a lot to do now . Problem is getting it all to work properly .

    Well one idea is that similar to what I suggested about bridges by adding Alliance champions (such as the Daedric banner bosses in IC sewers) and have them scattered around Cyrodiil. YEs that be adding more PvE but here is the idea. They can be buffed up by how many keeps, resources, and scrolls you have such as the players and the more buffed they are the more AP the enemy faction can gain by killing the champion and if your champion would defeat the other alliance champion they would gain all the buffs for a short while. As for players who defeat the champion they will gain a blessing of war buff for say 3 hours instead of a Cyrodiil boss 1 hour and again depending on how many buffs the champion had the AP can range from say 5,000 -15,000. Yes the champion would be that hard and will also have the support of the alliance players.
