Got into a discussion with a bud about how we (mDKs use to have our 20% chance to dodge) and tried a build to get it without having to pop shuffle and deplete the Stam pool. Well...here it is and he is in Heavy.

not meant to be offensive, but just what I see, this build is garbage 1vx (basically every guy is dying in the video is mostly killed by another guy/groupmember of u)

I have always wanted to try Spectre's Eye, but I think the sacrifice is too high. Glad to see that someone has tried it. I think that your video demonstrates a good use of it. Major Evasion is the strongest buff in the entire game. There is a new set coming in the next patch -- "Gossamer" -- which I think is strictly superior to Spectre.
My suggestion would be to replace Bahara's with a standard 3Will/2Torug setup (or 5xTransmute or 5xWurm) in order to gain some more offensive power (Sun set in new patch).
Regardless, the ~4.5k spell penetration and 10% crit on light armor is really, really hard to make up for in terms of damage. I just see wasted passives on HA for mDK (+resources for light attacks, +armor), although +8% healing and constitution are really good.Edited by Ishammael on July 1, 2016 1:36PM1 -
Lokey0024✭✭✭✭✭The sustain on heavy for mag dks sacrifices to much weapon dmg imo. Most of their playstyle is up close and personal and doesnt benefit from the 50% heavy attack resource return on a dw/sb build on heavy armor.
With the lack of an execute, a high pressure playstyle is required with expert timing on Ult use, making one of the best passives for sustained forced to be sat on until opportunity to close the fight arrives with a high cost Ult. With heavy armor equipped you have to go that much harder because of the trade-off of defense from offensive capability.
Running transmutation as secondary set with heavy and unless im running destro/resto magika is gone after 10 seconds. The heavy attacks are dodged before they even launch if the opponent dodgerolls while winding up. Lightning staves are nice, looking forward to the little boost my dumner will get with it.

✭@Torbschka Lol yes the (extra lack of damage is very noticeable) haha. But I can't believe how much dodging this set provided.
@Ishammael I really like the suggestions given and I appreciate them. Will definitely try them out and swap out Baharas to see what happens. Ever since I hard SotS is coming back i have been theory crafting in my head how to not just pve with it but incorporate it into a viable pvp build.
I do think a light specter set is more viable than a heavy and you do lose a lot compared to other sets but there is no denying the survivability increase.

✭✭I use Spectres on my Templar when tanking PvE, I love it, has everything my build needs. The dodge chance is way more than it used to be before TG as well.PC EU1 -
artal✭✭✭I always love to see people running something difernt and having fun with it.
However I have one question for you, 5 piece set or 1 skill on your bar (shuffle)? Personally i would go for shuffle and get more useful set.
Also I think that bahraha's curse set is highly situational and not really that good on open field. I can imagine being very good in tower defenses or some other tight spots.
But if its working for you and you have fun just disregard everything I said 0 -

✭@artal . My report on the build after running it is it has surprisingly very high survivability. But with that said I would reccomend if using the specter set to put it on light armor since with heavy you need to be getting hit to get the spell damage increase and the magic / Stam return. It was very fun to play in but I would really really like to squeeze some more spell damage out. To do that I will have to do what a previous poster above suggested which I will try later. Also finding a Baharas curse sword with sharpened would have been nice to help with the little dps I was already yielding but I couldn't find one anywhere. In the past I have slotted shuffle on my mDK with a Tavors favor set but I find with my play style (and sloppy animation cancelling using block) that I need all of my Stam for me and not an ability.
