Rapid Strikes (very) low hits

So I was running vBC with my Stam Sorc and noticed on my FTC report that my average hit was 2.5k and max 7k with Rapid Strikes. I play a high crit build so I hit for about 6k every 3/4 hits. Therefore I was wondering why my average was so low. So during the dungeon I kept an eye on my damage bar and noticed that quite freqently, every other use of the skill, at least one of the multiple hits would hit for 20 to 50 damage....

Anyone else noticing it or is my RNG (which already is terrible) just laughing at me?

Interesting... I've never noticed any low hits like that on the console combat text.. could it be a fault in the add on you're running? Maybe calculating some sort of damage incorrectly as rapid strikes?

There was a discussion on this where it was concluded that these low hits were actually most probably the 6th hit that was removed from rapid strikes, and an effect of CP that brings it back up.

If I understood that correctly. Tagging @Nifty2g, whom I remember being part of said discussion.

You are not mistaken.

I have noticed the strange low damage hit from Flurry (between 50-100 damage). I'm not certain why this happens, but it does happen. Someone else can probably explain why.

I've noticed it as well on Console. Among the 400 - 800 damage hits, I've seen as low as 15 pop up. It's not really game breaking, but it is definitely odd.

That said, I still think the normal base damage of each hit for this ability should be increased...

On a side note, how are you getting your ability to hit so high? Other than running a Stamina build.

Two quick side questions for my noobblade. CaniI still charge heavies under rapid strike? And which is a better spam, surprise or rapid strikes?

I don't think I do anything special to hit that hard... I know others can hit much harder. I have 2.8k weap damage unbuffed and only 32k Stamina with 20 points into precise in the CP tree. That combined with rearming trap for the 12% crit damage buff is how it hits like it does.

As people have said it might be an extra hit bug I will check the tool-tip next time to see how many times it is supposed to hit and see if it is just extra.
