It isn't now but it was when there was veteran ranks, character bound champion points, no enlightment, caldwells silver and gold, no battle leveling, and faction locked. Now champion points characters and gear are capped, so even if you had 3000 champion points, you may never see your full gain and will be gated in tiny increment anytime the cap is raised. Doesn't really matter how strong you get because the zones will level to you and you can't outlevel something.
A majority of this happened because the majority of players are casual to mid core but part of it is that ZoS didn't know how to balance that. Even years after launch they are still working on systems and balance and everything they add is somehow bugged, X gets nerfed, Y that is weak never gets buffed enough. Even the DLC are becoming more and more bite sized. Other than the crafting bag and dye system locked to the sub, everything about the sub just makes my experience shorter so not feeling that. Still looking for a game I feel the sub is worth that makes me invest tons of time in.I will still come and play it from time to time but there is not incentive to stick to it for a long time unless I like playthroughs to feel the same from low levels to high levels. The game will still do good and the world won't end.
If you're still here for the hardcore aspect or buttery performance, you're in the wrong game. Otherwise it is still a really good game.

I really hope the game burns down to the ground soon enough so that it can die a decent death.

You mean so causual gamers cant even play anymore?
You guys are pretty much saying "Ive done all I can everyday, all day. Ive maxed out everything...I beat the game. Let the game die because Im getting bored of it. I dont care about all the new players coming in, I only care about what I can do."

I used to love and defend the good game we used to have, not the piece of trash we got these days. Really, the good game is dead and now we got something that's best to be burned with fire.
My only question to ZOS is,
is there a way to make this game appealing to casual and hardcore gamers alike?
maybe a way to level up your char but instead of giving you more power like the current champ points, gives you cosmetic stuff like the payday system?
That would be a NO... they don't have the resources to devote to that and if they did so with their current small team that would stop them from adding future content. As it is right now, they're devoting much of their devs to the whole 'One Tamriel' re-boot which means existing players have to WAIT for any new 'sizeable' content until after One Tamriel is complete.

Not really, just that they murdered the game with the constant nerfing so that anyone running around without any armor or weapons can complete anything in open world. Compare that to when people had to actually ask for help with world bosses etc and it's just sad that a game that's supposed to be an MMO is a glorified singleplayer RPG. I miss the challenge that used to exist 2 years ago before the nerfing began, that was fun, you found new people that became friends and you did things together, now it's anti-socials online these days in ESO.

And thats the communities fault...for an MMO, many players don't want to play with strangers, and many "hardcore" gamers dont want to play with low level players because of a superiority complex...just a couple of days ago I was speaking in the middle of a bunch of champions and one of them started mocking me....because I was in a spot where I shouldnt have been for my level. Its the communities fault...not the games fault.

So YOU don't like it.. That does not make it bad, but maybe you should find something else that you like instead.. Millions of people find enough reasons to stay, which would indicate that they like it.. Which again would indicate that the game is doing fine
"I’m considered a Hardcore gamer, a player that logs in every day for several hours and spent more tan 500 bucks in this game"
This is your definition of a hardcore gamer.. Well by that criteria, I'm hardcore as hell, yet I have no issue with the content.. Maybe this game is simply not for you

I'd buy that argument and I don't think it's a bad thing whatsoever. I'm not particularly interested in terribly difficult PvE content either and I'm someone who usually went with normal difficulty when playing TES games.

ESO Future for casual gamers* Fixed it for you OP since Matt Firor said we don't exist and only caters to casuals who got to another game at the flip of the switch while us hardcore players do that buy faithfully return to game.

Then buy a singleplayer game instead? Don't have to come and dumb down the game so that everything is soloable just because some special snowflakes couldn't bother to look for another person to play with.
you're mistaken, there are no hardcore gamers in ESO, Matt Firor said so lol
I wouldn't play this game if wasn't the reasons above, I need it casual.
if you are hardcore players. go play wow, every time they do level increase. ur old gears are obsolete and have fun farming over and over.
One of the reason i love this game b/c i do NOT need to farm gears over and over, there are so many sets now and you can try different combination for different style and purpose, it's one of the amazing features ESO offers than other MMORPGs.

Firor is also refraining from using MMO to refer to ESO. It's all good until a better single player rpg takes all their precious cash cows away for 3-6 months! Then crown store mounts will become 5k crowns and they will go the way of RIFT and other games to milk what they can out of the "gotta have it" store buyers.
