(Clarification for poison build idea): Viper's Sting - Bow attacks?
dear fellas,
I am toying around with some ideas of a poison focused bow/dw or even bow/bow build for my nightblade and came across the viper's sting set.
Now the 5 piece tooltip says:
Your Melee Attacks deal 8311 Poison damage. This effect can occur once every 4 seconds.
I am wondering if the bow light and heavy attacks are considered as melee attacks. Furthermore whats about the bow skill attacks? Will be the additional poison applied to them?
I asked my lovely friend Mr. Google but unfortunately I was not able to find any answer to my question. And that I am playing on Xbox the set is quite expensive to come by. So just buying to find out that its not working is not a possible solution.

✭✭Melee attack in ESO, means attack within 5 meters.
But never trust their tooltips, so I would say best way to find it out is test it yourself and look at your addons.
I think "Combat log statistic" give you high detail what did dmg or not.
But since you are on console, I see this frustration of yours.
EU server are down atm, I can test it when they are back online.

The problem is that even Zeni does not know what should be considered as melee attacks. The Khajiit radical was not working with bow attacks at the beginning of Eso and Zeni stated that it is a bug and will be fixed. On the other side some other sets are not working with bow attacks even that its also stated as melee attacks ... Ohhh crap ...
As I said I would happily test it by myself but I cannot afford the set just for testing .. if I am really planing to spend 300k+ gold I should be sure that it is working.
