The Elder Scrolls Online v2.4.9 is a small incremental patch that includes a handful of fixes for quests, audio, Trials, and Mementos. The size of this patch is approximately 105MB.

....that will require the rest of the day to complete...

There is another thread up on the German forums regarding this maintenance, and its linked in another post on these forums.

It seems that its the German Datacentre in Frankfurt doing the maintenance, and it isn't just the ESO servers that are offline. There isn't any software maintenance at all, this is something external to the servers themselves.

Also, your comment is exactly that of someone WHO PLAYS EVERY DAY - well some of us do not, so we plan to do so now. Since they change the maintenance to yesterday officially.

OMG same here, I was with my guild last night and I was all I'm scared to use Twisting Path xD

But one of the cleverer ones there said that it would be a latency spike and not and skills that cause it.

I am paranoid too. Oh but I am still pursuing CS to have the suspension removed and gimme my + time back.

Certainly not. I had a wonderful weekend with my wife, coming back from it on Sunday I saw my guildstore stuff sold for 100.000 gold, then I was able to fetch 2 CPs within only 30 mins. Life is good if you are relaxed. I cannot play today? Not too bad, then I can do some more work - or play some guitar - or do some sports - or spend another evening with my wife to make her more understanding when I will play ESO for another evening.

Guys, there is a LIFE beyond ESO.
Just let the ESO tech folks take their time.

8 hours for maintenance is pretty pathetic, if it's not prepping for a huge DLC it shouldn't take this long, you can fix wrothgar in less time than this maintenance patch! (Jokes I know wrothgar will forever be broken)

I COULD GAME FOR MYSELF since I cleaned up after everyone else, cooked for everyone else, ironed for everyone else and made ~£400 today.
