How would player housing work and would it be useful?

assume there's a house in a city or someplace and it's bound to you, and no-one can enter it etc. and it's a separate dimension of sort; Or is it something cool like new areas in ESO where we can have a house 1 per acc? I doubt it's that, but it'd be cool af.

And for an actual discussion: Do you think this would be of any use/benefit? Weapon and armour racks would be cool.

Difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 9 years. 6 paid expansions. 25 DLCs. 41 game changing updates including A Realm Reborn-tier overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver&Gold as a "you think you do but you don't"-tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game.

If they're smart then they will have some function to them. The worst possible outcome now is that they bring in houses and it's literally just a box to decorate. If they've given them some substance (and researching MMO housing or listening to player feedback should have tipped them off on this long ago) then houses could potentially become a very popular and important element of ESO.

Also I'll be gutted if we cannot place weapon racks and mannequins - already started saving some special looking weapons for this :D

Granted Armour and Weapon racks would be so so useful.

One of the key elements of every house in TES is bookshelves. Whatever they do with housing, I really want the ability to place bookshelves with whatever book I want (since it's one to a shelf) so that when I bring friends into my house, they can be impacted by my reading choices. Also to simply have them close at hand.
