It's kinda like horse training... it becomes a habit to login & do it every day. When I hear the chime that my daily enlightenment has kicked in... I load up my CP grinder character & burn through the 400k of enlightened CXP in about 15-20mins.
TBH though... I don't care if the CP cap is raised or not. I really DON'T want the CP160 cap for items to be raised because I have burnt through the majority of my gold tempers.NA Server [PC] -- Mostly Ebonheart Pact, Mostly.1 -

Agreed. As I've stated in a previous thread, when CP first came out, and prior to release of Imperial City, there were people who would grind CP all day. Mind you that there was no exponential system in place at the time for CP exp needed as your CP level increased. Meaning, that if you were at 1000 CP and trying to reach 1001, it would take the same amount of exp as it would take for the first-timer to get his first cp point from 0 to 1. As a result, Cracked Wood Cave became a very popular grinding spot. I remember seeing a Khajiit NB there, and he had over 1500 CP and he was a God. No one could touch him. And mind you, this was when a lot of the CP passives didn't work, or didn't do exactly as they stated, as the CP system was relatively new. Yet, here you have this guy with over 1000 cp and he basically dominated the cave and Cyrodiil for that matter.
Another example I recall was when King Richard as a Magicka Sorc was fighting against an Altmer Magicka Sorc, and this was prior to CP cap and prior to the catch-up system in place. This Altmer Sorc had over 1000 CP (which he confided to King Richard after the fight) resulting in King Richard having a very difficult time taking him down. In fact I believe he had lost that battle despite it being clear that he was more skilled when it came to animation canceling and timing of skills. When Imperial City came out, people with high CP points were able to solo Molag Baal in IC. I believe this was the turning point that prompted ZOS to cap CP.
In short, too many CP's leads to excellent resource management, high damage, high damage mitigation, increased movement speed, etc. The lines between unique CP builds becomes blurred and therefore the ability to create a unique CP build becomes essentially nonexistant. Being a one-trick pony just makes content easy, uninspiring and ultimately boring.Edited by Kronuxx on June 28, 2016 10:55AM0 -
