Group Finder Broken?

I'm on ps4 and my usual routine involves logging in, activating random dungeon in activity finder, train my riding skill and do some quests while I wait. Now usually this wait lasts anywhere from 30 minutes to an 1 hr and a half. However, since the release of dark brotherhood I have been unable to find a group whatsoever. Today I waited 6 hours for a group and never ended up finding one in the end. Is the group finder bugged? I really would like to do some pledges and random dungeons, especially as an end game player who has little to do.

Anyone else experiencing this issue?

It got really broken on PC with the Dark Brotherhood release, so I guess its the same now on PS4 and probably also Xbox

It's so bad, I gave up on it. I had 3 tanks pre-DB doing their random dungeons to level up fast, my highest level is now a mule and the two turned into Stamina DPS leveling the old fashioned way of grinding and questing. I haven't done a dungeon since DB came out.

yup completely dysfunctional.

Your usual routine before creating a thread would be checking if there is already another one on the same topic.

Actually there are like 4 topics about the group finder since last patch.

Hint: use the shiny "Search" thingie in the top of the window with keywords "group finder"

It seems to work alright in the wee morning hours but it's hit or miss. Definitely working less than it used to,

It also seems that if you don't get queued in the first 5 minutes you ain't getting in, also if a guy leaves during the dungeon I have yet to get a replacement. It just sits there until everybody gets pissed off and leaves.

I'll add to all the posts about this issue, whether there is 1 or 50.

Random dungeons for bonus XP is something that was new with TG I believe. Not a great effort that it is effectively unusable the very next major upgrade due to not having a working group finder. I know that preformed groups can still run randoms without a hitch but I would suggest the vast majority of dungeon runs have relied on group finder to fill at least 1 position in the group.

An acknowledgement that this specific issue is being looked at would be good, rather than something vague like 'various group finder issues'.

I agree and that seems to be the issue, they will not communicate that there is a problem or that they even care....

Its been an issue for what, a month or more? In an AAA game this kind of thing is fixed within days if it even takes so long.

In ESO apparently they just make a new special mount sale for every critical bug they add.

This was June 8th. So they know and are working on it. I'm going to assume they don't have a fix yet.

Being on console it only became an issue for me last week. If it has been this bad for PC players since they were patched 3 weeks ago then you all have my sympathy.

Still begs the question, why did they go ahead with console release of DB if there were still known issue/s on PC that are likely to be in all versions?

Well I'm going to go out on a limb and say, testing showed now issues. Only way to find a problem in a live environment is for it to go live. I have seen plenty of games testing shows no issue till live gets the issue. Then and there is really the only way sometimes to spot and correct an issue.

I assume Console and PC are similar and different at the same time. So its a possibly it couldn't have been expected for the 2 to have the same problem.

I thought it was only broken for DPS. Many people quit quein' because they were spamming it to knock out the daily random and pledge.

I'm having the same issue on XB1. Prior to the DB update I was able to queue and find a group within 30 minutes as a healer. I have not been able to queue for a random and find a group since. I did get a group queued for a specific dungeon (Volenfell) but it took 2 hours.

That's even more annoying than not getting in in the first place, hate it when that happens especially if you are near the end.

Yeah I love it when you get to the end of a vet pledge and someone in the group just can't quite get it right. You know you have someone in guild that could help you out for 5 mins. But they can't get into the dungeon and replacement will never work. So you get a silver or you start all over.
