The 30 secs time limit for the werewolf is outragously stupid

Not only do you have severely limited time being as a werewolf, but when you devour your enemies you only get a half time back, or less. I even witnessed quite a few times when after I devour an enemy my werewolf time doesn't even reset it back. It keeps ticking away.

A fully developed werewolf with all of the skill points invested (Including being a rank 4 werewolf) should give us at least 2 to 3 mins of werewolf transformation fun time..... not 30 seconds! That's outrageous! Even Skyrim we were allowed to be in werewolf for 150 seconds!

You will get 3 more sec in ww form when you take damage. This can happen once in 3 sec, which kind of means that as long as you are in combat you will stay in ww form. You will lose few seconds if you dont get hit immediately, but you can make it up by consuming corpses.

There are plenty of ways to maintain the timer when your WW is fully developed, enough to make it practically unlimited in fact, but I made a thread at some point suggesting the timer drain slower or stop entirely when out of combat because that would be an RPer's dream come true and make it so we don't have to rush into battle to stay transformed.

You just don't know how to play the WW.
Firstly, when you use devour the timer freeze during the animation, and you get some more time AFTER the whole animation. If you move before the 12 second is added, you don't get anything.
Secondly, you have a passive who give you 3 second if you get hit, with a 3 second timer. That's basically a nearly permanent transformation.
Thirdly, and that's the most important thing, a werewolf don't hunt alone : with the last passive and four other werewolves, you have a 80% reduction to the timer. That's mean you have a 150 second timer, each devour give you 60 more second, and each hit give you 15 more second : basically, you are in WW form as long as you want - if you keep hunting.

When devouring corpses be sure to wait until the animation finishes (when you stand up and shake the blood off your muzzle) before moving. Otherwise it doesn't count and won't add to your timer. If you do that it's possible to keep it up a very long time if you are in frequent combat. It's good for grinding mobs, but the out of combat timer needs to be a minimum of 2-3x longer. It would still be far from "OP" and still a fast route to an early grave in PvP so I don't understand why it hasn't been lengthened at some point in the past 2+ years that people have been begging for it.

Already mentioned, but let me simplify it a little bit, since it tricked me too when I became a ww.. When you hit the Devour button, don't move before you see the timer go up.. works 99.9% of the time

One issue is trying to feed on mobs without loot, the game likes to make bodies disappear asap, the trick is DON'T LOOT before Devour. As long as there is loot remaining on a body it will persist for a very long time so if you loot first then you just reduce the time the body stays active before despawning. If you're at an Anchor for example, don't loot the cultist bodies if you want something to feed on as the Daedra bodies tend to despawn almost immediately after they're killed.

Actually I loot immediately and THEN devour. They stay plenty long enough to feed on if you do it quickly enough.

First off you must struggle to aim the mouse at a specific area of the body for the message "devour" to pop up. This cost you precious time. If you do not have it exactly pointed right you cannot get the message to appear.

Second. According to what you're telling me is that I must sustain damage just to get an extra 3 seconds (Wow big fricken deal!) on passive.

Third. That is not true.... lore wise. A werewolf does hunt alone, and not in packs (Stupid twilight movie has corrupted peoples minds). There are pack wolves and there are lone wolves. Us lone wolves shouldn't have to suffer just because we like to "hunt" alone. In fact doesn't the pack leader perk constitutes of as a pack? If so how come the perk doesn't include the 80% time reduction?

Perhaps my game is bugging out but even when I don't move after hitting the devour button it occasionally wont reset my timer, and it only gives me half the time.

My console nightblade is a werewolf. I can and have stayed in werewolf form continuously for over an hour when grinding.

I just turned to ww and I have to say, I don’t get why there is such a limit. It isn’t like they are so overpowered in the first place. It’s not like becoming a nuclear bomb permanently. If feels less fun, more panicky. I can see how during a grind you can stay WW, but part of the fun of WW in Skyrim for instance was being able to roam the woods. It’s been transformed from an identity into a weapon.

If it was OP Cyrodiil would be werewolf city.

Werewolves are powerful and IMO underrated. And fun. But they are finicky and take some getting used to. You can stay in the form long enough.

Have you read any of this thread (which is 2 years old, by the way, so necromancy is your skill, not being a werewolf)? If you are actually in a fight, you stay as one. No reason to just be a ww.

They can be used in Cyrodiil....

I have had transforms lasting over an hour.

For that matter, I've taken Werewolves from 3 to 10 in a single transform.

Once you learn the ability it is possible to keep werewolf basically as long as you want. But, it does require you to keep moving, stay in combat, and don't just sit around.

It´s definitely a new gameplay ´mode´. It does have potential though, if for nothing else, the added variety. And since they are not too popular, there is a WTF factor to them I like :p

Definitely necromancy on my part. I totally get how you can stay ww in a fight, I just was lamenting not being able to sprint through the woods which was my favorite thing about being a werewolf in Skyrim

Yeah, probably don't post in threads that have been dead for more than six months, though. Though, this thread's especially weird since the OP was banned from the forums in June 2017.

just my 2 cents since now theyve been nerfed into the ground they really do just need to take the timer off.

There's an actual question on if that nerf was intentional, or a bug. Because the damage modifier to light and heavy attacks is simply missing, it wasn't reduced, it's just gone.
