Grand Healing - Is it worth a slot?

So Grand Healing has remained unchanged since launch on consoles if I'm not mistaken, yet it's duration is so short I for one don't really care for running it. Perhaps if it lasted longer than 3 or 4 seconds I would run it but as it stands I'd rather focus my efforts on the other skills in the Restoration line. What are everyone's thoughts on this? Is there anyone that runs it despite its short duration? Feel free to comment!

For fights where everyone stacks on the boss or is otherwise grouped up and mostly immobile grand healing and morphs is hard to beat. Stack a few grand healings on the ground, top it off with regeneration and your group is functionally immortal.

The problem with this spell is the same problem with BoR/Combat Prayer.... lazy DPS have been trained by Templar healers to scatter all over the place instead of stacking close together. As a Sorc healer, I depend on Mutagen spam from the Resto line, with occasional burst heals from my Twilight. It's hard enough just keeping 4 guys in range of the Twilight heal!

Yeah my healer has amazing healing as well and utilizes Combat Prayer and Mutagen as well as Twilight Matriarch and now Absorption Field, not to mention Quick Siphon. I could use Grand Healing if I wanted but the duration and cost repels me.

This spell is too good, that's the problem. It is yet another brainless abilitiy, that you can spam in order to keep entire groups alive, just like Breath of life.

I think, grand healing should stop stacking and should be replaced once you cast it again.
That would be no problem at all and would encourage more diverse gameplay.
You drop it to ensure everyone receives some base healing and do the rest with regeneration and your normal heals like breath of life, blessing of restoration and all that stuff. Grand healing does not need to stack in order to keep people alive, it*s just for lazy people.

It would be awful if it didn't stack @Dracane.

Awesome spell which allows versatility. I think the radius is a bit small for pvp where movement is key, but for pve it's great bc you're fighting stupid predictable machines. One of the best heals in the game Imo.

I don't see it worth much if it didn't stack. Just like WoE, at least without MA staff. Problem is smarhealing, but I don't see that being changed anytime soon. However, it's not that bad in PvP right now, since someone spamming this with his resto staffs is way easier to kill than a Templar with his shield. And stacked up groups can be negated.

Nah, would be horrible for PvP if this thing got a larger radius.

I still use it in pvp don't get me wrong, but with the need for movement and the threat of vd, stacking and staying in 1 spot is dangerous.

    True.
I kinda wish they would release more content like MoL, where you cannot just mindlessly stack and burn.

But anyway, healing springs is an awesome spell, I use it all the time on my templar along with combat prayer.
For example, I can put a few healing springs on the ground in aoe situation, buff the team with combat prayer and spam shards (awesome aoe that stuns casters and does good dps), and add some undaunted bubbles to the mix if there are magicka dds...

Best Trial heal in the game. I have no idea how you'd do trials without it as a lot of them have mechanics that, more or less, require stacking to survive (Serpent's Poison, Warrior's Shehha? blasts, etc).

It used to be decent in PvP but then VD happened and now we spread too much to even consider using it.

For pledges and dungeons, those are too easy anyway and don't require much healing anyways, at least with decent players. Grand healing won't help make bad players any good either.
