Wrothgar World Bosses

3 rd time this week and roughly a dozen or more times in the last month and half.

Sitting at 2 HR plus wait for anyone at all to shop up to kill one of the two Wrothgar World Bosses I can't solo.

I am truly dense because I'm only doing the world bosses looking for CP160 Briarheart weapons which by my math so far have less then a 5% chance of dropping the recompense bags and you still have to cycle though whatever *** trait to get to a decent trait, should you even get a CP160 set weapon to drop, which by he way I have not even seen and Im going on bag 26 since he update for PS4. Or maybe a Trinimac / Malacath Motif which at least I know exist and occasionally show up in the reward bags.

But apperantly if you enjoy Imperial City an update that came out before Orsinium you can open random chests and get CP160 Orsinium set weapons.

Just brilliant, I am, wait one person ...... Nope he ran away.

Yahhhhhhh this is fun and rewarding.

When my guild is on I ask them and they help when they can.

Console does not have text chat and my guilds don't have a lot of players on wearily morning when I get off work.

I occasion sky check area chat but Wrothgar is a big place and don't often by a response.

Someone eventually comes along it just takes hours at times and is geninuely frustrating eepeecially when it is Zoolander the reborn, I firmly believe a large portion of players dump that quest the second they get and come back the next day.

Rather than waiting at the world boss for someone to show up the best way of doing this is by waiting at the inn where you pick the quest up. You'll quite often find people that will group with you, one person gets the quest and shares it with the rest of the group, when you're done the next person gets the quest to share. Doing this allows you to do multiple world bosses on the same day giving you more chances at the drops you want.

28 Bags no still have not seen CP 160 Briar/Pariah/Trinimac weeping drop in Wrothgar.

I did get 2 CP 150 weapons.

2am RESET Runs:
I ran with the the 2am & 2:45am EDT approximate raid runs over the last couple months. That seemed to be the only consistent time a Full raid ran all 6 bosses. It's fast that's for sure. The drop rate for the items you want seems definitely worse since DB came out. It was not so hard to get Trinimac/Briarheart/Pariah full sets with jewelry. Lately I haven't seen the CP160 purple drops at all.

Most classes can solo these. Everything except for the Mad Ogre, which can be annoying with the healing adds. This isn't a LTP post, just that I was in the same spot as you so I finally just got fed up with waiting and rearranged my build. You'll need a peak performance build of you want to do the arenas, anyway. And there's actually more choice these days with stamina and heavy armor changes.

Wrothgar is one of my fav places to hang out.. from harvesting mats, treasure chests hunt and even grinding during enlightenment. I also do the daily everyday. Aside from the dailies, I often run into the world bosses quite a few times during my daily rounds. So, I notice before DB, there always seem to be a lot of players in any of the boss pits in Wrothgar (or Hew's Bane), but since DB, there have been fewer in Wrothgar. Yes, for the recent weeks, more times than I want to, I would be battling those world boss pits in Wrothgar for some times before someone else or 2 shows up, or I would take those minions out the best that I can, and when the big boss shows up, I would leave for a bit to go farm mats and treasure chests and check back to see if any others have showed up. Of course, at my current CP level, I can't take on the boss by myself.

Also during my rounds of harvesting mats and chests, I would run into the boss pits several times over. Sometimes I would find someone or maybe 2 waiting. I always feel I have to assist, even if I didn't need that fight, but I know someone else does to complete their dailies, and it's always better to have more people. So, I feel compelled to jumped in cause I would want the same aid if I showed up by myself. So, yes, it's been quite a few 2-person or 3 person fight lately. Definitely more challenging and longer time to beat the big boss. Lots of lower ranking characters as well.. nothing wrong with that, but there are fewer and fewer 501 CP players or those in the 400 brackets aiding in the fight lately. I'm sure they're roaming around doing more DB stuff for a while. I do the same, but I have to always come back to Wrothgar. Yeah, the more people, the better.. and it's always awesome to see some more people show up later on in the fight, even when you've been battling with one or 2 others from the start.

A single hit with a resto staff and those portals disappear. Also, just roll out of the way of his massively telegraphed fire attack and it's one of the easier solos. Everything else is just pew pew and the occasional heal. You can even hide behind the circular altar thing at the back of the arena if you're being overwhelmed. His attacks can't reach you there.

Have you tried getting good?

I'm joking of course but it might just be that people are still farming/doing Gold Coast content. I just finished up monstly everything Gold Coast offers myself on PS4 yesterday so I'll probably be back to Wrothgar farming Briarheart crap again soon, although I still need the rest of the Assassin League and Abah's Landing Motifs before I commit myself fully to the loony bin of Wrothgar RNG rewards.

I'm going to save you a lot of time and tell you that Briarheart is a terrible set. There are much better options out there. You are wasting your time grinding for it.

Still want the weapons. Still think it completely bass avkwatds I can spend a solid week farming Workld bosses in Wrothgar on three toons and not find one CP 160 set weapon while they can be found by popping treasure chests in IC.

Honestly, I wish they'd just remove CP150 weapons from the reward loot table if you are CP160+.
It should be max level loot you get, blue or otherwise, for doing those quest. I can understand if you aren't CP160 but to literally add another layer of RNG (Level) to the reward system is just beyond stupid. We already deal with enough RNG to not have to tolerate another form of it with lower level gear being rewards to us.

I typically ignore the Wrothgar Bosses myself. My advice is get a group of friends together to easily tackle them or some guildmates willing to do it too. Orsinium has been around for a good while now and is not as populated as it once was, especially since people flock to the new DLCs.

I'm telling you man the gear isnt worth it. I have a full set and it's very lackluster. Much better sets you can wear

I'm sorry but what are you talking about OP? On PC EU I'm logging in daily and after couple of hours beside writs and other daily chores have all 6 world bosses done, there are groups sharing daily quests forming all the time.
Personally I'm doing dailies for to burn my enlightenment but to say that no one is doing them is exaggerated to say at least.

You can get Briarheart from advanced chest and boss drops.

I looted a Trinimac chest piece from an advanced chest in the Gold Coast today too.

I get some of the Briarheart (also some Pariah set) now and then from the treasure chests around Wrothgar. I usually just leave it in the chest. Figured someone looking for the set could run into it and take it.

For now I would say that is true. Even more true if the gear cap on the pts on Monday gets raised (hopefully not). BUT... this is an MMO and meta's change. That means that previously worthless sets, or those sets that are less than desirable MAY(note the MAY) become useful in the future. Only time will tell. I would agree with this statement right now, but have been burned in other games when changes come down the road and the gear I thought worthless all of a sudden is the top gear set to have. That is why I would make it a point to farm for everything I can. The problem is that this game wants to raise level caps to consistently make old gear (IE: CP160 gear) useless when the cap is raised.
