Sorcerer has exactly 2 abilities that completely ignore your stats. Dark Exchange and Surge, making them not competive.
I can be wrong, but I think Sorcerer is the only class with abilities that don't scale with anything.

Despite what people say, the old Dark exchange was the best and did not need any nerfs. Neither did Surge.

No matter what Zenimax claims... They WANTED to nerf dark exchange and they WANTED to nerf surge to death. They did not seek to fix them or make them better. No, they just wanted to give Sorcerer another nerf. Because that's all they do to Sorcerer since release.
First they destroyed Bolt Escape, moved on to shields, dark exchange, surge and pets too received nerfs.

So it's intended, great. How am I supposed to heal if I don't want to use a resto.. If this heal can't get any stronger it's never going to be viable for PvP

I don't mind having to use destro, but being forced to use both staves is just stupid, I thought we could play how we wanted

I will always miss the old dark exchange, it was fair and swift on the battle field.
The cost scaled with your stat, the gain scaled with your stat.

You only needed to float for 1s and you were good to go. The skill is just awfull now. I think its design used to be great and looked much cooler than this boring breath of life wave we have now

I agree it's good for Stam sorcs, but then they have Vigor and rally to heal aswell. If I don't want to use a resto then I have no way of healing.

I wanted to run x5 kags and x5 alchemist and proc alchemist from the back bar, but I'd need to DW or S&B.

As I wanted to main bar my destro, I'd use the DW or S&B on the back bar but I'd have no way to heal...
I could use DW on my main bar and resto on the back but then I lose the ability to weave and have a spammable

they have vigor if they pvp for it, rally is ok but still needs help and 2h is a dps loss compared to bow/dw in a pve situation.

you really can't go full on glass cannon dps and not give up something. that stam dk build doesn't use vigor on his bars, he's relying on his healer. if you want to destro/dw you can, but you have to make a tradeoff.

Magicka can't do it with the long cast, you'll get stunned before it goes off, and you can't cancel the ability without losing th heal.

I am a mag sorc and i use it mainly for stamina, as everyone knows CC is the death of any magica player so i use dark exchange, tri pot food and stam pots to get around that, that it also heals me is just a bonus and my main heal is still from the resto staff.

to avoid getting stunned i either use streak to get some safe distance or a CC of my own before casting it,
and in combination whit some stam pots i don't really have to cast it that very often to always make sure my stamina is full,
