So we can invest in skill points for cloth making yet we can't repair our own clothing?

So let me get this straight. I invest my skill points in the cloth making category to make my own clothing base on my level yet I am unable to repair my own clothes? That doesn't make any sense whatsoever. Instead I must pay any merchant/etc to repair my outfits that seems to get easily damaged at a fast rate?

I don't understand why I am unable to repair my own clothing with the same materials that I've been gathering up throughout the game.

Surely it's obvious a chef or grocer can repair armour better than a master crafter?

The repair thing is a good gold sink, I doubt they'll ever change that.

    You can buy repair kits!

And if you don't want to buy then, run the crafting writs. You get a ton

Does the repair kits repair only 1 piece of armor or the entire outfit itself?

Each kit repairs one piece only.
Except crown store kits - those repair everything at once.
