Mage light doesn't last forever anymore? Why? (the visual)

I really liked mage light because the ball flying around you. DK still gets there three red balls so why can't I have my one? I really dislike this change, not sure how long ago it changed but I hate it.

✭✭✭They changed it from a toggle to it's effects being applied simply by slotting it. Now activating Magelight serves to reveal hidden/invisible enemies. Expert Hunter also does this when used.Guildmaster of Power With Numbers in PS4 NA Server's Aldmeri Dominion.

✭✭✭✭✭It was changed almost a year ago, well, maybe 6 months ago.
Inner Light (increasing magic and spell criticals) is now in effect as long as you have the skill on your bar, which is nice. Casting the spell is for detecting players in Stealth, and suppressing their ability to enter stealth. Which is why the cast effect is now on a timer.Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.
