Power Overload vs. Energy Overload

Power Overload of course.
But I don't like overload for dps. Actualy, since DB I don't use it anymore.
I sometimes use it (energy overload) to do like 4 or 5 hits to regain some Magicka.

I still use it, its funny how enemy players run from light overload attacks lol.

Power Overload if u don't need to return mana, Energy for return. Also if u want to do dungeons or vetMoL/vetSO shooting star is best choice

To answer in the simplest way, Power Overload for max deeps. But there are some exceptions, and it varies given the length of the fight. For fights that last several minutes (i.e. vMoL), Overload is outpaced by other ults, such as meteor.

I just hear people QQing about, mostly stamina players. Where I ask myself... you can dodge shuffle, reflect, what is scary about Overload to you as a Stamplayer ?

I used it alooooot prior to DB. It was my most important 1vx tool. Because Sorcerer damage is awful and overload was the only option to have a chance to kill things in 1vx.
However, since damage is suddenly higher in pvp, it is now possible without overload and I really fell in love with suppression field as my 1vx option, so I tend to abandon Overload more and more.

I actually don't think Overload is that good anymore, the damage is not too troublesome.

Power overload only gives a bigger heavy attack AOE right? What the hell good is that? Who even uses it?

Energy overload. It returns Magicka, so you can get back to frag procs.

Most people I know are just using Kena and overload together for the light attacks, so the Magicka return morph is fine.

Because Power Overload deals 3% more damage. Which is a lot considering overloads base damage.
So this thread is actually a bit weird

Since power Overload deals more damage, it's the better choice for DPS.

But I think Energy overload is still more usefull. And the heavy attacks are weak anyway and a waste of ultimate.
