Dragons in ESO

razzle1184kicks
Aplogies if this has been posted before

I know already we are before the age of dragons, and see a good few post from time to time in regards to wanting dragon mounts to wanting dragons in the and now ive finally got access to post on teh fourmn i have a question and proof that a dragon used to live in this time line.

I was in a dungeon (cant rember which one sorry) and come across a skull that looks like a dragon and on hover to intreact with it it says dragon.

ESO is not only before the age of dragons as you say, but after it as well. At this point in history almost every dragon is dead, so finding a skull here or there is not all that unexpected.

As for live dragons there are maybe as many as you can count on one hand. Maybe we'll see one as a raid boss someday, but no mounts or pets. If you want dragons play Skyrim, dragons galore.

I see.... aha I'm not after a dragon mount etc...didnt ask for that in my post lol and wasnt my reasoning for posting, just come across a skull wanted answers and got them, plus that additional.

wasnt aware we were after them aswelll as before them, my bad.

There is a quest where you actually speak to a dead dragon. I can't remember where it was ... Grahtwood, maybe?

No worries mate. The mention of the no mounts / pets comment is just kind of an obligatory thing on these forums. There is a large portion of the playerbase that refuses to accept that this is not Skyrim online.

As you continue to play, particularly when you get to Skyrim, you'll encounter dragon mounds (dragon grave sites) and other relics from the days when dragons ruled the world. The dragons are out there, they're just taking a couple-thousand-year dirt nap.

Are you thinking of the "Keeper of Bones" quest with Dringoth? Those were Ehlnofey, not dragons.

Well, there are certainly a few dragons hiding out there.

I wouldn't say hundreds but I do believe that not less than 10 either. Dragons are very smart and powerful, many probably knew how to preserve themselves when their downfall came.

We do know that Tiber Septim offered "protection" to the Dragons that would come out of hiding when he claimed the Ruby Throne - which is a few hundred years from now - so, yes, there are dragons out there.

ZOS certainly has the liberty to eventually create a Dragon as a boss or something - although I must say that I'd rather see a dragon as an awesome NPC in some storyline where we meet it.
But the amount is not enough to allow any sort of "common" sight for dragons, no mounts, no random mobs, etc.

Akatosh wouldn't be symbolized as a dragon if that would be true
and something like the Dragon Break culture wouldn't exist either.

They are hiding, thats basically it.

    So what the dragon... c@nfused?!?@..

Common sense, skulls are the remains of a dead dragon.
Was it a titan? No it was a dragon.
