Guess I should have been more specific..... Most zerg groups are the mindless 40+ players just running amuck with no leader and following the fastest mount. They are just there to kill *** with no strategic value.

not quite, those types are usually just many people who spotted a fight and chased it, usually they want keeps for more fights. primitive but manipulable, zerglings make the best meatshield for the real sieges

When I see that only 5% of players that took this poll are zergers it makes me wonder if maybe the other 85% of the player base are currently inside a zergball and don't answer online polls.

A player I used to respect once chastised several other members of legend for being in a small group "Play solo and you won't have a crutch so you'll have to get better"

Turns out he was a CE user and probably nowhere near as skilled as we all believed, but his words still ring true

So what if you are in a full raid and all stacked on crown while following directions?

I've done that. Done smaller groups trying to take on the bigger ones. Smaller groups ganking people either to just get people distracted or to just troll. I haven't done a lot of solo ganking but I want to get into that more but it's lower on my priority than having a solo build that can still be a sustained group player. Just whatever's fun.

I jump between solo, small scale and large scale groups. Each has different dynamics. I prefer small groups as I like to play healer or controller.

Survey inadequate, arbitrary designations based on team size, loaded terminology, etc. My guild runs anywhere from 4 to a full 24 depending on the night, how many people are on, and how big we want to get, but we're Teamspeak organized and incredibly coordinated, not "Zerg madness".
