@ZOS - XBox NA is functionally broken. Could we please get any word from you?

Game crashes every 15 minutes. 3-5 loading screens each time a new area is entered. NPCs take minutes to load in but somehow can still attack and kill you. Five minute quests are taking 30 minutes bc of the load screens and invisible NPCs. And my god forget about doing writs....lucky to do just one without game crashing while also seeing half a dozen load screens.

I am on Xbox NA and have been playing since PC in May 2014. The game has never been this functionally broken before, it is entirely unplayable.

I created a new thread bc there has yet to be any comment from ZOS. The sticky thread at top about crashing seems to be confined to a PC discussion.

Do you realize XBox NA is also broken? These aren't small frustrating nuances. The game is functionally broken. If play time is spent roughly 80% load screens and reboots and 20% actually playing the game what is the point???

PS4 and a lot of PC users are having the same issues. Still no official ETA or proper response other than vague dev replies that ask for more information (as if we need more reports now), or vapidly try to placate.

Agreed. Last night was just awful. I was doing DB daily quest (which took forever to load into the area to pick up the quest.) Get teleported to the area, walk a few feet, didn't realize the NPC's were invisible, got a loading screen and when it came back I some how alerted 3 badies and was killed. I will never be able to complete these quests perfectly for the highest reward until this issues are addressed. Absolutely unacceptable and makes me question myself why I'm continuing to pay for ESO+ and playing the game. ZoS, understand if you would communicate better with the player base most people, including myself, can be more understanding because at least you acknowledged the issues. Instead what do you do? Release info on the next DLC........really? *shakes head

Same here. I was so frustrated last night I gave up. Absolutely no fun, it is a very unplayable game for me at this time.

Sent a video in of me in wrothgar being mauled by a durzog that I couldn't attack or see, it killed me outside cold perch and didn't go away as soon as I respawned it chased up a cliff that no add could get too and then into the sea and still I was being mauled by this durzog from the other side of the map and well into the sea...thier response was to check my Internet as apparantly that was the cause. Good one zos support. Just don't bother complaining and grind on.

Wrothgar is just horrible on performance. I never thought I would say it but I somehow Cyrodil is getting very consistently better FPS and immensely less lag and crashes than PVE (relatively speaking). Granted I haven't spent quite as much time in Cyrodil as in PVE but it's just that noticeable in PVE.

Boot up the game and play for five minutes in Wrothgar and you can see why I'm talking about. It really is that bad. The issue isn't just confined to Wrothfar but that seems to be noticeably worse than Stormhaven or Craglorn. I haven't tried TG or DB yet.

I am DC alliance Xbox NA.

@ZOS_JessicaFolsom and @ZOS_GinaBruno --- are you aware of these issues? I can seriously record my screen for the first five minutes of me booting up the game and show you guys if that will help you see what we are experiencing.

Just try booting up a character on Xbox NA using DC alliance just to keep it consistent and try turning in just two writs, if your game doesn't crash and also experience a minimum of three loading screens (not including the logging in screens) I will just shut up and quietly cry to myself instead of on the forums.

I have played this game for far over 1,000 hours (I don't want to know the actual count out of fear) and have spent most people's mortgage payment on crown store items since its launch - I rarely gripe about stuff and hate to publicly complain like this bc I have enjoyed this game a ton since launch (outside the bugs), but the game is just functionally broken right now and I'm clueless as to whether ZOS is even aware of it on the Xbox.

For everyone else that has been having the same issue, has this been mostly confined to Wrothgar for you? I saw a separate writ related thread where nearly every person was complaining about Wrothgar performance.

Anyone know if the TG or DB areas are as bad and at least playable? Maybe I can play those instead? I have given up hope entirely for Wrothgar after last night.

Excuse the wall of text, i did rectify it later.

I just switched it off yesterday in the end as it was totally unplayable. Today it has been almost impossible to do a dungeon as the group is disbanded on entry and you then have to serve a 15 min penalty for something you had no control over. As well as the usual crashes and lag.

I for one am going to cancel my subscription if these issues are not sorted out in the coming weeks, because i feel as though i am being totally ripped off. Its totally out of order and disrespectful to the community that there is a wall of silence regarding this, even though the money keeps being taken from the bank.

Good luck with getting any kind of reply, i seriously doubt you will, as i am beginning to see what kind of company are running this shambles of a game!

it is pretty much unplayable at this point.

i even logged in at around 4am thinking less people would be less problems. get to wrothgar to turn in writs ( I came in through the back way from the shatul wayshrine ) dis con nec ted 8 seconds after i landed there and then again as soon as i tried to turn in the first writ.

they need to do something. ive never seen it this bad.

If you got that group through LFG I am astonished as that hasn't worked since the last DLC in my case.

Xbox 1 NA here. I can't/won't go near Elden Root. Had three characters stuck there. One ZOS had to port out for me. Other two factions equal cities are laggy beyond lag. Sometimes when swapping characters there s freezing with a loud buzzing noise.

I often crash going in and out of Hew's Bane/Thieves Guild HQ, making the dailies an annoying task with 3-4 loads to get my character out. Orsinium was often a crash zone before TG and DB and has since gotten worse. I have to slow walk when entering buildings to avoid crashing, even outside Orsinium when picking up Wrothgar dailies. Quests/landmarks sometimes not appearing on the mini-guide. I have crashed in the GC by haven't spent much time there yet.

Some other random things I've notice since DB, character unable to move for a few seconds after picking up writs. Entire game hiccups when someone leaves/joins guild. Longer loading screens, environments, and characters; invisible enemies.

Also l, I play during peak and off-peak times and the only difference I have personally noticed is minimal, sure more lag during peak times, but off-peak still lag and still crashing.

When I was working wth support they took my console number to help monitor crash reports from MS. I remember reading something here a few days ago that I believe Jessica posted they are still trying to pinpoint the causes.

Like others, I really enjoy/love this game, spending countless hours playing and more money on crowns than I would like to admit. =P

I hope to see these issues resolved soon so that new and returning players are not turned off by the current situation.

They just keep piling buggy dlc onto a broken game.
I've been a huge supporter of this game since May 2014 also.
But I've come to the conclusion that their pursuit of $$ is more important to them than fixing the game.
Sure, all the DLC ships on time, but ZOS is peddling a faulty product as a result.
Listen to the bell ZOS...

Having the same issues OP. Extremely frustrating given how much time I've put into the game and how much I like it otherwise. Tried all the suggestions including the router to no avail. Only online game I have issues with. Some clear communication that at least acknowledges the problem is not on the user side would go a long way.

I'm on X1 DC and I'm having this issue mainly in Wrothgar and DB. However I was doing the Litany of Blood achievement couple nights ago which requires you to go to several other areas of the game and I would still have issues with double loading screens and the occasional disconnection. Extremely frustrating.

Agreed, unplayable. My main is stationed in Orsinium in Wrothgar and I cannot load in, crashes every time. @ZOS, Refund please for my ESO+ membership!

I have been having this issue as well.. I've crashed 3 times in Wrothgar (2 of which was in the midst of me trying to port my guy out of it) and another couple times in Hews Bane (not the city, just the area map).

At that point I got on my alt and was going to level up a bit. Crashed again in Deshan, and again in Stonefalls.. Not really sure what the issue is at this point.

I canceled my ESO Plus. I hope every subscriber follows suit and forces Zenimax to report the loss of ongoing revenue to its investors; it's pretty much the only way you'll see the management changes and priority shifts required to permanently address this always-growing list of issues.

I will happily renew next month if they make their game playable...and maybe apologize.

Orsinium has been broken since it came out. Now its even worse which I didn't think possible. Why can't they acknowledge these problems instead of letting them fester?

Even more, for some including myself, any and all DLC isn't accessible even if you've been auto subbed since the game came out. I had to chat with xbox support to get it fixed i.e. renewed and charged again, even though it had just been renewed a day before, because Zos support just tells everyone to hard restart your Xbox for every problem.

This is not jus Xbox NA. This is also happening on EU.

Infinite loads, invisible NPCs, crashes every 15 min, vMA consistent crashes on poison round... Oh the list goes on... Can't go anywhere in Gold Coast without hitting a load screen ever 50 ft etc...

Ps it's also slightly insulting that other threads are being closed in favor of this one which also has no comment from Mods/devs/ZOS

Well they closed down my other thread which was sort of a duplicate so ZOS is at least reading this.

How often does ZOS put out console patches? I thought it was weekly - at least that's how it was on PC if I remember correctly.

Next week is 4th of July holiday weekend in the US I would ABSOLUTEY LOVE to have a functioning game by then. Any chance at that happening?

Gonna have to go back to Fallout 4 if not I guess....ugh but that game is buggy as hell too and the AI is just embarrassingly frustrating and inventory management and combat are just so messy. Maybe I'll do Destiny...nope Bungie cancelled Iron Banner and Trials bc of matchmaking bug.

Well hell, I already played through Doom and am bored of that. Hmm, do I dare boot up Division? That seems like more of a Christmasy and winter type game though. New Witcher DLC out which looked cool, but that game can be quite the time sink. But great nude scenes. Hmm.

Anyone have any good ideas of games I can play all summer to avoid going outside?

Zenimax needs to really make an announcement on this. As an ESO Subscriber for 2 years, this is unacceptable.

Load into the Gold Coast by the Sanctuary and Load screen at least 2 times before I can run to the Sanctuary to turn in a quest. That is only if i don't get a full disconnect.
Half the people are black silhouettes or invisible NPC that is attacking me.
Why have the ability to see Nodes 30 meters if they don't populate until I can run past them.
Load into a Zone and the Quest givers are missing for almost three minutes.
Try sneaking past guards with a bounty or do the DB or TG quests when you have no idea someone is there to sneak by.

I have tried:

Hard wire vs Wifi
Reset Rounter
Restart XBox One
Pray to the Seven Gods
Ask other Players (who BTW have the same issue, so I can understand why you would expect that me fixing my router will help lag of all players on the NA server)

Seriously think that Anyone who has used ax XP scroll or pays for your game like I do should get a 5 pack of scrolls or something, because It has been a waste of time and money playing since your patch. If you knew that there would be so many player on now, then you shouldn't have anticipated load balancing.

Very Disappointed in your company at this point.
Mostly because you seem to ignore your players concerns. For goodness sakes, how about a notice when the game opens that says. Sorry. We are aware of the lag issues...

Hah! They'll just do you like they did me, I didn't even get to cancel, they took my money sent me an email thanking me for resubscribing then turned off my ESO+. Still waiting on a non automated response to my ticket. That's on top of the unbelievable lag and loading screens in every town and throughout the world. I've had the best performance in Cyrodiil but this is just ridiculous. I've stuck with this game for over 2 years and I've grown tired of defending it to others. I love the art work, I love the world and story, but the performance on console right now is dog ***.

My main character is still stuck in Anvil (XBOX One EU). I have opened up several tickets and yet no actual help (IE - porting my character to a safe location). On a side note though my newly created (lev 22) Magplar is getting random non-vet dungeon pops constantly!

Seriously though ZOS.. please fix this asap.. I miss my main character!!!

And how long does that take? There are several threads with players complaining they've had characters locked for over a week now.

Why do we need to provide names??? The *** is broken. Just write down everyone on xboxes name. There you go. It's not US! It's YOUR BROKEN GAME.

I agree with every statement above. I crashed over 15-20 times in a row this weekend while stick at a wayshrine in gratwood. Don't bother with writs. It's a laughing crash fest.

What's funny is sewers seem to work great. Same with vma. It's like they fixed all the spots people whined about and in turn destroyed the rest of the game.

It's pathetic as I've said before. Truly pathetic.
