Create an option that allows players to choose "Uncompressed" for their game install, that way we dont have these obnoxious and ridiculously long loading screens.
I can assure you, I'll gladly sacrifice the 100GB of drive space if it means my loading screen is a mere 1-2 seconds, if that.

    Get an SSD. I haven't had long loading screens since IC, or was it Orsinium? That patch with the horrendous loading screens anyway.

    I have an ssd and i still get long loading screens,

    I will be honest and say that since i have been using the 64bit client these times are now very reasonable,

    I have twin-Samsung SSD's in a raid configuration and I still get load screens.
    The problem is not the drive speed, the problem is the fact that the entire game is one compressed archive that eats up loads of CPU/BUS time to decompress for every single zone.

    I mean heck, why not just use more RAM?
    Its not like we're short on that stuff...Im sitting on 32GB and the game doesnt even barely use 3.
    Just un-compress the assets.
    Skyrim never had this problem, and neither did Oblivion.

    Having a SSD or not has nothing to do with the random long/near endless loading screens you can get in this game.
