My main will remain a Breton. I would never change her, I love all of my characters for who they are and would never change them... Apart from one, who desperately needs to change alliance! But it does not seem like they are adding this, so I guess she will continue to just stand naked at the stables in Elden Root feeding her horse each day in the hopes that one day, they allow her to fight for the Aldmeri Dominion, where she truly wishes to be

Dunmer

People are just picking Argonian to be antagonistic.

I will change my race because of the potion passive. I have grown to loathe it so. It is my white whale at this point. It'll be a sad day for me. I love my Argonian, but I just can't do it anymore

I've grown used to that passive. yeah the Swimming part of it is haha oh so funny meme jokey time, but the Potion part of that passive basically turns every potion into a Tripot. So I use Crit/Power/Resource potions instead of tripots, and I still get enough heals from it.

Argonian is not ideal for magicka dk unfortunately. I really like the way my toon looks too. Gonna miss that little lizard.

ZOS, why couldn't you have just let us choose our racial passives? And NO! I don't care about lore and how it fits into this game!

There is one character who actually permanently changes race (and not even to the intended race), one character that changes into a crocodile, and one World Boss who, if I read the note near him correctly, managed to change into a Dremora.

It's not unheard of, but it's hardly common. But then again, neither are bears and wolves that would allow themselves to be saddled and ridden.

I'm sadly well aware of how to make the best out of that passive. I've had this character for over 2 years. I'm just so tired of trying so hard to make it work. I feel like I have to mold my character around the passives as opposed to having passives that support what I want to do. ZOS refuses to make them balanced and envisions them as tanks. That's not what I signed up for when I made my character.

Unless they change passives, then:

Min-max PvE:

Stamina DK > Khajit
Stamina NB > Khajit
Stamina Templar > Khajit
Stamina Sorcerer > Khait
Magicka DK > Dunmer
Magicka Templar > Dunmer
Magicka Sorcerer > Altmer
Magicka NB > Dunmer
Any Tank > Imperial

Why Khajit? Because 8% crit chance in the current meta is just too much to be overlooked. Redguard only if you run with scrubs or suck like one and therefore need extra sustain.
Why Dunmer? Because 7% flame damage and 9% max magicka means much DPS with fire staff (main meta), wall of elements, meteor, reflective light and most of all magicka DK skills.
Altmer still top race for Sorcerer because of Force Pulse being the main filler and other elemental crap.
Imperial because it's the only viable tank race in current meta (stamina or magicka, doesnt matter)

Anything else = for scrubs

Min-max PvP:
Gank stamina build > Bosmer
1vX Stamina build > Redguard
Gank magicka build > Dunmer
1vX Magicka build > Altmer

Race change doesn't interest me it all.

If you want to do it, good on you and go for it, but it's not for me.

Khajiit

This one she is the purrrfect embodiment of the spirit of Fishmas.

Why would this one want to loose all her hair and make her ears point the wrong way or grow ugly teeth?

Oh and the tail - this one shudders at the thought at losing it. Too high a price to pay for a well fitting saddle.

Won't change, I become attached to my characters and it so easy to level to 50 that I might as well make a new character and be better off in the long run. But I suppose the min maxers that will race change don't care as much about that.
