Cannot update launcher

Whenever I try to update the launcher, I get an error once it starts trying to apply the patch. "One or more files are in use by another process, please close programs that may be using the files (such as the game) yet I only have the launcher running. I tried the Repair option and nothing happened, it just ran through everything and I am still getting this issue.
