a rather confusing question

hey everyone

so i just crafted my gear & was planning to improve it then i realized smt & got confused

so now all my enchantments are white as i do not have any other

when applying the white enchantment CP 100 (lets say 482 stamina) on a white armor, improving the armor itself to green will also improve the attached white enchantment to 496
now does it mean that I am applying a green enchainment, when I am improving the armor to green, given the armor was white & the initial enchantment was white as well

if this is true, than basically there is no need to buy fresh new green/blue enchantments when improving the armor, as when the armor is improving (given white enchantment attached to it) the enchantment will improve to be as if it is green

if this is not true, then it would be better to buy green/blue enchantment first, apply it on the armor & only then improve it

The reason why I am asking this question is to understand whether when improving a white armor with a white enchantment to say green am I also improving the initial white enchainment to green i.e. as if I improved the white armor to green first & applied green enchantment
(whether the value of the improved armor with a white enchainment to green is the same as the value of the green enchantment applied afterwards of the green armor

to be short - does the enchantment improve as well when u improve the gear from white to green?

So by understanding this I will know whether I need to buy new enchainment

sorry for the confusing question, plz feel free to clarify if difficult to understand

thx

The enchant doesnt upgrade if you upgrade the gear.

Nope. But a Gold enchantment on white armor will give the benefit of a white enchantment until the armor's upgraded.

Enchantments dont upgrade with gear. For crafted gear, no matter how strong your enchantment is, it is limited by armor rarity.

Ie: Using gold enchant on white armour = white enchant strength. When you upgrade armour to green --> enchant becomes green and so forth.

ie: Using white enchant on gold gear = white enchant strength. Or using white enchant on white gear = white enchant strength. Then when u upgrade armour to gold, enchant will still be white.

The only thing to take note of, is that dropped gear (ie farmed sets) come with enchants that do not need to be upgraded. Ie: if you find a piece of spell power cure in purple, when you upgrade it to gold, it does not need to be re-enchanted to gold. It will become gold enchant strength.

    thx for the replies

so what would be your advice?

I just crafted 7 pieces of white armor and I have 7 white enchantments

    1) should I enchant all my white gear with white enchantment & improve the gear
    2) should I buy new green/blue enchantments, enchant on the white armor & then improve the armor
    3) should I improve the gear & only then apply the green/blue enchantments

the question is - will i get the same value of enchantment if i apply it on the armor only after improving the armor & then applying or should I apply first & then improve

If you're lower than level 50, do whatever you like - the small differences between enchantments/gear/gear upgrades are not worth spending this much time worrying about (most builds could get through quests naked up to level 50, so don't sweat it about enchantments and upgrades).

If you're over level 50, craft as much to purple as you can. If you're CP 160 and have the mats and know exactly what you want for your build, craft it in gold (don't put white enchants on your gear at max level unless you have no kuta, rekuta, denata or jejota, if you have been looting enchanting nodes you should at least be able to put a blue or purple glyph on gear and upgrade it later when you have the rekuta/kuta to make appropriate glyphs). I have never ever put a white glyph on my gear, they are for decon only IMO.

3 things you should always know about enchantments and enchanting:

    1. Do not make Gold Glyphs under CP150. Use Purple at best to preserve your Kutas until you get more finalized gear.
    2. If there is an enchantment already on your gear you can replace it with a new enchantment as often as you like!
    3. Enchantments on dropped items tend to be of the same quality as the item's quality.

    Hope this helps!

Each time you improve armor to green, blue, purple and gold, all traits of health, stam and weapon damages increase with each improvement.. but I haven't seen any improvement with the enchantment. So, like others are saying.. I don't believe the enchantments improve along with it. Gold status is fairly hard to get, but you should always get your pieces to at least the purple, until you get all the mats to make it gold.
