An option to disable thigh side guards from chest armor

As much as I like wearing armor to boost up my defenses, sometimes I want it to look good too and sometimes the thigh guards that come with chest armor just look real ugly. Heck, I don't even understand why there's thigh guards on light armor. I thought it's supposed to be "light". It's not like I'm a battlemage.
Now I don't have a problem if some people like the side armor thigh guards that come with the torso armor. That's fine. But I'd like an option to hide that, just like I can hide my helmet. I certainly would also like an option to hide armor pauldrons too.

I HATE THE HIP FLAPS!
It seems that it comes with every chest armor. And they rarely clip or lay right, they are almost always floating 1 inch off your body.
Whoever makes the armor seems to be obsessed with these things.5 -

I would like them gone myself. Even my GF, who is not an RPG gamer, asked me what those things were flapping around me as I ran. She thought they were like Fanny Packs and asked me if that was where I kept all my stuff.Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

I don't see how it would be too difficult to just reduce the distance from body to flap at the top so they at least looked like it was touching. But when I'm running down a trails and their just sort of floating next to me... That's a little distracting.

✭✭✭✭✭It depends though. The thigh guards belong with most of the Medium, and all of the Heavy armor pieces, however for the Light pieces, which a lot of them are just shirts, it just looks very out of place and in the way.

GhostwalkerLD✭✭✭✭We've been saying for years that the armor designer in this game has a hip flap and shoulder/elbow/knee-pad fetish... it's REALLY annoying, especially for example on light armor, which is supposed to just be cloth/silk, and as such, basically just be -regular clothes-. Why, then, would you put these giant metal faulds and epaulets on it? (Looking at YOU, khajiit light armor).
This should be a change or a toggle, at least.
But hey, if they did, then there would be far less people just running around in costumes constantly, and we wouldn't want ZOS to miss out on crown store purchases, would we...?
