Best class/build for vMA?

Many people have completed it on all kinds of builds, most have very good skills, understand the mechanics and know the mob spawn by heart etc.... I am wondering what class/build would be the best to invest in with limited resources going at it for the 1st time. Have nearly every class leveled with one of each stam and magic, but only enough mats to focus of crafting 1 out in top level gold gear....

What would the hard core veterans of vMA suggest?

I've beaten it with a Magicka Templar, so I know that combo works fine lol

Worried about the "bug" with theurm. CP and Jabs not being improved etc. Don't want to add to the general frustration of the place with a broken skill.. hope that is fixed soon...

Can craft anything so looking for gear ideas too..

Best build is a Magic NB if going for time. Bars look something like this:

Destro: Funnel, Crippling, Blockade, Merciless, inner light, soul harvest.
DW: Sap, Siphoning strikes, Refreshing path, impale, Prox Det, Meteor.

Straight glass cannon gear. I think people at the top are also starting to go Dual Destro or Destro/Resto. Twisting path is more DPS, especially with scathing mage, but you need another hot like rapid regen when you drop refreshing path.

NB is also the hardest class to get on the board with. Magic Sorc plays similiar, but they dont have as much utility/heals as a nighblade. Not a bad class to learn, and its a little easier to get on the boards with.

Magic Templar might be my favorite class on non boss rounds, but the boss fights can be tricky at melee range. A decent clear is a guaranteed spot on the boards.

Magic DK is probably the hardest of the four magic classes, but any clear lands on the boards.

Stam Sorc w/dw look to be interesting too, seems like healing would be close to the magblade in theory.

Thinking either stam sorc or magic NB. With crafted gear have to decide on what works best in vMA, TBS vs. Julianos / Hundings... etc.

I have just looked to start the vet arena too!

I have tried a mag Templar (my main) and a mag NB and if I'm honest I have found it easier with the mag NB!

I still have a lot to learn though! The sustain with the NB is just way better which helps a lot

I don't have a full set of gold yet! This is something I'm currently trying to do.

im using Julianos but I have seen that TBS is pretty good! Maybe make a Stam purple set and a purple mag set and then see what works best and then just gold it out when you have a favourite

My NB is all purple gear bar the nerenith set. I run destro and DW with it. I actually find round 5 very hard with it though, the atronarch round takes me forever to clear without sigils. Don't use sap either. DKs are easy after round 2. Inhale becomes easy mode once you have groups to actually heal off, bosses you just use embers and heal to full in your rotation, the hard part.

But use a magblade. Sorcs are hard to learn vma with and you must have Kena for overload burns otherwise it's just a pig, you can use a dunmer sorc and meteor (mine) and it works OK but everyone will tell you that altmer is required for sorcing but it's completely untrue.

Templars are just hard as nails to complete it with.

Or be hardcore and go stam nightblade. I've done it a few times. Only 3 waves are actually hard, round 5 atro round, spider boss (mega endurance test) round 8 boss as it's a pig with the adds and resource management and gap closing with the flame spinner channel having a 50m range and ours is 22. It's fun and only requires a nightmother set, 1pc Kena and Bloodspawn, 2h and bow and job done.
