Poisons being consumed with Defensive skills.

Why the hell is my damage health poison that is purely offensive going off on abilties like vigor. My poisons are being wasted.
I thought these poisons were suppose to be consumed when it procs on another player.

Damge Health Poison IX
Deals 1487 Damage per second for 3.8 seconds and, 60% increase cost to magicka and stamina for 4 seconds.

I have cloudy damage health poison IX
-deals 1076 poison damage per second for 2.8 secs
whats weird is I see the white attacks and then I see crits and then I hear the poison sound but I'm not sure it its working even tho the dmg is there because its not consuming any poisons after killing 10 mobs.
I need more time to test cause I read up on these but the character sheet doesn't even change so no idea whats what.
*What does work*
Cloudy gradual ravage health poison IX
-deals 633 poison damage per sec for 6.7 secs

Yeah the poison system is all around really buggy.
I went through about 100 poisons in about 15 mins casting vigor and the poisons actually proccing during combat. After that I took them off because I realized how much were actually getting wasted.
Might as well sell them and all the poison mats while the moneys good.0 -

I didn't test it out with another player. You can check it out for yourself though. Equip some potions and cast vigor. Literally start running through poisons. It doesn't look like it's giving the affect on the next attack either which is beside the point because it shouldn't be consumed by using vigor anyways.0 -

✭✭✭Ok so I tested a bit with a Drain Health Poison. As a Dual Wielding Nightblade I equipped a Poison and spammed the following abilities:Drain Power
Whirlwind
Blade Cloak
Camo Hunter
Rearming Trap
Trapping Webs
Necrotic Orb
Vigor
Razor Caltrops
I did all this outside of combat with no enemies nearby and of all those skills Whirlwind and Vigor wasted Poisons. It's safe to say your Poisons are safe as long as you don't spam Stamina AoE Attacks and Heals outside of combat. Of course Poisons can still be wasted when you heal in combat as well but I'm sure Zenimax will fix this eventually now that we have mentioned it. This game was good before poisons, when i noticed all my 30 stamina is all depleted, can't block, can't do nothing just die0 -
