Starting Caldwell's Silver before killing Molag Bal

It seems I hit level with 120 Champion points on my other character I inherited.
Now I dont get a quest from Caldwell because I obviously haven't killed Molag yet. But I noticed the other factions quests are there for me starting at Champion 40. When was this change made? I can take a portal to all starting areas and do Silver or Even gold.
Its kind of cool because now I can skip the whole Molag Bal series of quests.

✭✭✭✭How did you inherit a character? I hope it wasn't by account-sharing, because that is against the TOS.
Or did you mean your other character had 120 CP?
EDIT: It's Cadwell, not Caldwell. Since Thieves Guild update you can go to any other alliance once you are over level 50. You can still get Cadwell's quest if you like once you have beaten Molag Bal, but it is not a prerequisite for going to other alliance zones.Edited by Epona222 on June 17, 2016 7:27AMGM - Ghost Sea Trading Co - NA PC

✭✭✭✭No worries, I get it, your character hit level 50 and 'inherited' 120CP from your account
Once you get to level 50 you can go to either of the 2 other alliance territories - regardless of your progress in the main quest. You don't need to do the main quest at all any more if you don't want to. If you do complete it, Cadwell can send you to the next alliance - but none of that is now necessary, and the rewards you get from Cadwell are really not worth worrying about (1 piece of blue jewelry that isn't part of a set) so just go ahead and do what you want GM - Ghost Sea Trading Co - NA PC
