I want to move slowly! (connecting ps4 controller to PC)

So i started playing ESO recently and maybe its just a pet peeve of mine but i want to be able to sneak slooooooowly. but on the PC i'm limited to dead stop and full speed and of course sprinting. The movement seems to be 0-100 without the 99 other speeds in between. I can not sneak up on people, when i'm crouched i have to walk full speed or i'm not moving at all. this makes sneaking virtually impossible, everyone hears me. is there a way to fix this? or is it a limitation on the PC version? i've seen people play it on console and it is just like skyrim; they have full range of motion at all speeds depending on the sensitivity of the finger on the joystick. it really discourages me from playing the game all together. I tried to connect a PS4 controller to see if this would be fixed but even with the controller support in the settings my character still only has 2 speed, stop and go. if there is not remedy to this situation I will probably never play this game, rudimentary controls are disappointing

Walk and then sneak, your character should sneak very slowly then, and hopefully will be to your liking. For what the default walk toggle is, have a look in your Controls menu options for all the keybinds, which is accessible from the main menu -> settings.
If you can be anything, be kind.

Actually, the walk toggle is unassigned by default. One of the first things I do with a new character is go in to the controls and assign a key to it.

I don't think you understand me. i want to be able to move at 5% walking speed, 10% or 20% or 87%. my character either is stopped or full walk speed, when i'm sneaking i'm either stopped or full sneak speed. there's no in between. i want to very very slowly walk up behind someone. the toggle just makes running and walking a toggle instead of hold. i want to have a full range of speed in my movement.

You probably have to try an Xbox Controller to get the fine speed control you are looking for. It's not like Windows is going to make it easy to use a competitors controller on their systems.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.
