What's up with all the crashing on Xbox...

Many times yesterday, now several times today in just the past half hour.

Yesterday, I crashed between 'play' on the server and arrival at the character select screen. Also during the screen between departing one way shrine and arrival at the destination. Bunch of times crashing during times of vigorous onscreen activity - crowds at rawl'ka and at elden root.

Nothing inspires swearing at the screen like crashing while turning toward the exit from the big tree crafting room, relogging just to crash again halfway to that exit, relogging just to crash AGAIN before making it to the door.

And now the same behaviour is happening today. Crash in rawl'ka. Crash again in the bank house. Crash again while trying to way shrine away to the town of riften which would be cadwell's for me and thus hopefully empty.

What... The ever loving... FARK!

Nobody can claim a lack of space - I've got 554gigs free on the Xbox.

I'm considering a full reinstall. What I REALLY want to know is what I can/should do with this bit of saved data. 193.2K in size, sitting here, apparently synced between this console and the Xbox live servers.

Could that local data be a cause of my crashing? If it is deleted, will it restore safely from the Zos servers?

Anyone else gone down the Full Reinstall path and have some advice?

Happening to me ALOT crashed a good 30 times yesterday in 3 hours much better luck today maybe 10 times in 8 hours.

Don't do a full reinstall just go open a ticket and post in the Xbox tech forums. There is an official reply there

Oh what the wild hell.

Just restarted the console, logged in and appeared at the Elden root way shrine. Tapped A to shrine away and crashed AGAIN before the map finished appearing on the screen.

Full console shutdown. Relog, did NOTHING other than tap A to shrine the heck outta there. Crash.

Went looking for the alleged official reply in the Xbox forums.

Found nothing more than a claim that somewhere else a Zos employee said something about killing only the local saved data, that resulted in marginally fewer crashes to the Xbox home screen.

And another crash before the map loads to way shrine out of the tree.

Gave up trying to get my crafter out of grahtwood. Moved to my Templar and queued up the dark brotherhood stuff.

Walking around kvatch looking for a sermonizer to kill for a half hour now, but there are more assassins running around than there are live townsfolk and any sermonizers to be found are knocked off in an eye blink.

Never fear, though! The number of dead townsfolk littering the streets must have been what overloaded the game, crashing me once again to the Xbox home screen.

I finally, as in a couple of hours ago, got my crafter out of Grahtwood where she was stuck in sight of the crafting stations in Elden Root but unable to walk to one. In fact, I played 4 different characters over the last 2 or so hours and had no problems at all (other than the strange glowing orb that appeared once again in a Khajit staff on Stros M'Kai). I was chuffed.

I'm on my 11th reboot after being DC'd repeatedly upon loading into Grahtwood. Went there for a contract....and can't get outtttttt. Help meeeeeee

I haven't had any crashes, but I do get really long and random loading screens if I take like 10 steps in Craglorn, Wrothgar, Deshaan and ... then I just turned it off. Also, whenever I would go into any town now, it takes forever to load. This sucks.

Wtf, seriously?!?!

Bring on the alt nightblade for the horse training - success.
Switch over to the dragon knight also for the horse - all good.
Bounce to the alt sorc for the horse, and to restack the guild bank - no issues.
Change to the Templar to taxi someone to a different zone - it's all roses.

4 characters worked fine without a hiccup.

With only a hint of hesitation, with just a shade of doubt in my mind, I shift to the crafter that has been stuck in the elden root tree... And crash during the loading screen.

Edit: gave it a minute while typing that, then gave it a second try. Crafter loaded, I appeared at the tree way shrine, and about 5 seconds later it froze with a bad buzzing in the headset which dropped to the home screen.

Jeez. Wtf.
