Can we get a statement on how many people really got banned?

I am hearing only 2 people got permabans and others go their ban removed.

is that true?

I'd liek to know that as well. Every time I play I com across cheaters of one for or another.

ZOS are you going to do anything serious about this or should we leave this game to the cheaters?

Not all got perma bans removed, I know of 1 and hearing a few others got theirs removed too
Under "investigation" doesn't mean perma banned, I guess they only ban the ones they have video evidence of and not something they can check in their logs.

Shame that apparently looking at the leaderboard is not evidence, I would expect their dungeon team to know that's not possible to obtain scores like that. But instead we don't get a leaderboard wipe and we keep the hacker around.

I think, they removed the wrong persons perma ban as well, to showcase how much they don't really care about the health of the game, they let the person who blatantly destroy leaderboards and show his score off to everyone? That was the worst thing to do out of all of them, and they did it lol

If you are still paying them money then you support what ZOS is doing. Actions speak louder than words as the saying goes. Your actions are i am going to keeping paying them money no matter what they do. It's the reason I unsubbed and haven't played in a week. Can't support ZOS anymore

I don't think it's to that point yet. I think it is probably very hard to deal with this technically, and I'd like to give ZOS the benefit of the doubt. I don't think cynicism is the answer. But if the issue is not addressed, then we will have to vote with our feet.

Well @Alcast, no ZoS replies says it all and I know of 6 (4 are friends) personally who have had their bans removed and 2 of those used hacks because they could and no ZoS won't do anything about it.

I've left the game, not because of this, so I don't care if they sensor me/edit this but I won't name names in the hope your thread does get an answer.

I'm not supporting them, however I would point out that "no ZOS replies" could partially be due to the time. Thread was started after 5pm. Whoever might be working after 5 might not be the one or ones allowed to reply. :shrug: Whether there are answers during business hours will tell a little more.

But the issue is, countless times in countless threads to countless people, Not that they condone cheating but that they Don't communicate to us about it whether that's to tell us of what they've done or even to acknowledge there's a problem and that they're going to take specific but generic action on it (e.g. ban people permanently, no appeals).

People are annoyed, exasperated and frustrated because ZOS Don't communicate with us on this issue. The only responses from mods on here are generic bull**** about keeping things on topic and corporate (E3, ESO live etc) responses are to ignore it.

Every.single.time. people understandably defend ZOS in this situation they always do it under the wrong banner. Not just yourself, but everyone else too. Sadly on the internet so much information is buried that it's impossible to communicate a cohesive response. Community ambassadors were the answer, but they're sadly suckling from the ESO teat when it comes to dealing with more hardcore elements of the game.

I know I will never be number one in VMA, but I run with people that have been and still are in my mind. This is such a slap in the face to those pushing this game to its full potential, and spending a heck of a lot of time and effort to do so.

Eventually they'll be forced to make a public statement on the issue. I'm still expecting all this to be a huge unintentional messed up, there is no conceivable logical reason why Zos would made such decision when the evidence is so blatantly obvious.Tho every hour they keep silent does nothing but aggravate the situation

Absolutely agree - however, if they did tell you that they perma banned all who hacked and exploited, and continue to benefit from it, they'd be lying. So, to me personally, respond or not it matters not.

Yes. Yes they did unban him. There is a big locked thread under the alliance war section of the forum about it. People saw him logged in. It is his actual account, not the new one he supposedly created to get around the ban.

Did they actually unban them or is it because of the DLC patch. Doesn't this happen every time a new DLC patch occurs, all those perm banned come back? Like ZOS just assumes the players wont ever try to log back in.

yeah, as i posted over in @Nifty2g 's thread, i have cancled both mine and my wife's recurings until this is either sorted or not, if its sorted i will renew my subs, if not, the i will buy the dlc req to run with my guilds and only play on guild nights. and only then because i enjoy those i play with, the game seems to be going sour. whats the effort in progression if simply editing ulti gain and regen etc can get another group there faster, problem is now, no one knows what anyone else is doing. lots of accusations being thrown, and zenimax isnt doing anything to calm those accusations either.

I'm sure they removed the ban. After the multiple threads and so very many comments raging about it all resulting in literally no comment from anyone at ZOS anywhere, other than the standard we have removed comments etc type remarks from them. They have had some very ticked off people since yesterday around this time. So yeah, they have had plenty of time to deny it if it wasn't true, instead they have allowed it to fester and grow.

It's not like we can't support these choices. Think about it.

Are you really going to go back to not having inventory space due to no longer being able to access the crafting bag?

I feel that I have to sub so that I can save hours of my life regardless if I like choices made by this company or not.

the nice part about that, you just resub for a month and dump all your stuff again, you dont lose the bag when you unsub, just the ability to deposit, you can still withdraw from it afaik, the stuff does not go back into your main inventory.

That's unfortunate. I have many complaints about this game from a functional standpoint, but I know that will always be true in an MMO. I cannot, however, get around a lack of integrity of the people running it. I am about to take a few weeks off for some much needed vacation, but if nothing is done by the time I get back, I will unsub.

Hell yeah. I subbed because I wanted all that bank space back, but will definitely cancel it again and dump all my spare stuff on a new mule bought with the crown character slot or on various characters to help easy the burden and bring everything craftable back into the bank for easy access.

Thank you for posting that info, but I feel the way I feel despite already knowing the bag mechanics and it hurts.

Traditionally how I have not supported developer choices is by subbing when I think good things are being done, but then cancelling when I think bad things are being done. My time is more important than making that statement and I do quite a bit of trading so the crafting bag saves me time in a big way.

Very sad.
