Tel Avar stones - Farm rate question

Does the amount of players in IC effect the rate at which a player receives stones? I played for 1hr30min earlier right when the servers came up and I farmed over 20000 stones. I played for the last hour and only got 4000. I farmed the same way I did earlier and everything appeared the same except more people were running around. The only other difference I can think about was that I was earning CP at an accelerated rate earlier. Any thoughts?

Everyone who tags the mob gets a split of the stones. I usually farm solo with a 3 multiplier and get 10k pretty quickly

It's not exactly like this

you need to cause a certain amount of damage or healing in order to get something.
When I solo an IC boss and some random players joins when the boss is at 10%, he won't get anything, because he can't do enough damage in this time.

But yes, every players reduces the stone gain by 50%, this does stack.
Means, an IC solo boss with all districts and 4x mult brings 14,300 stones.
With 2 players, he will bring 7150 stones.
If a 3d player comes, 7150 will be reduced by 50%. So I get 3575 stones
4 players 1787 etc etc.

That's how it should be at least. It's true for 1 and 2 players. But when a 3rd player joins, the penalty doesn't seem to be a 50% decrease anymore. The more players join, the lower the stone gain penalty gets. I can't tell you the right system here.

EDIT: Stupid me. It's so simple.... the stones are split, so that each player gets the same amount of stones. No percentage reduction.
If I am solo, I get 100%, 2 players I get 50%, 3 players 33% etc etc. Dracane.exe ..... sometimes I hate you.
