If they haven't announced more DLC by now, I'm skeptical there will be any Q3. That is a major fail. Emphasizes how sketchy subbing is as new content isn't even guaranteed. But there are still 4 months before Q3 ends.

Relax, we're not even out of Q2 yet. They have until the end of September, meaning it doesn't even have to hit PTS until August. Ever since they'd announced that they would release a new DLC every quarter, they've released a new DLC every quarter, there's really no reason to believe they aren't going to. They could probably wait until QuakeCon to announce it if they wanted to. In the past they've typically announced the next DLC about a month before its release, I wouldn't be surprised to see the same this time.
Yes, they have delivered every quarter. But we also knew well in advance what was coming each quarter. We already knew DB would follow TG before TG came out because they told us about changes that would arrive with DB.

But that is because those were all things we had known they were working on for a while, but had to be put on the back burner for console release. Now that we've caught up to the things that probably should have been released a long time ago (like before they made you pay for each DLC...), the upcoming content is much less familiar to us. I'd certainly like it if they let us in on what types of DLC to expect over the next couple quarters, but they certainly don't have to do it in order to release it on time. Plus, if they plan on making a big event out of QuakeCon, they may be purposely being quiet about upcoming DLC so they can break a lot of big news there. I wouldn't be surprised to see them announce the next DLC then, along with some information about other upcoming DLCs.

I'm honestly not sure how I feel about it - I mean it has long been a big thing in gaming to me that if I find something difficult (not that it happens in ordinary PvE in ESO), go away and level up and come back later to feel a sense of achievement. If everything is always leveled to me, or me leveled to the content, that aspect will be missing.

I know a lot of it (especially PvE questing) is way too easy right now, but half of me is uneasy about this in case it flattens everything out more in terms of being too easy, with no prospect of ever having much in the way of challenge.

So Skyrim for consoles, a flash video of ES: Legends & cross-faction play for ESO.

I feel very disappointed for The Elder Scrolls from this E3. There's nothing that has really grabbed my attention.

I was hoping for a real ESO DLC announcement, or (wishing) for ES:VI.

Hmm, that wasn't even a loud fart noise. It was a quiet, barely noticeable one. Feel bad for Matt, he flew all the way out there to advertise content that has already been released while all the other developers got to talk about exciting new content and stuff for their games. Not his fault or anything, the timing just sucks that E3 falls right after their new content. It'd be nice if they implemented a new PVP area to support this One Tamriel thing. Like, idk, battlegrounds or something.

Will One Tamriel mean that my cp160+ characters will get cp160 gear in treasure map chests in every zone? Or will gear still be low level in low level zones? The same question applies to recipes and motifs, though these would be better left as is while gear would be better scaled.

Sounds like everything scales to you.

-We will adjust gear rewards to scale appropriately to make sure that there is always a way to get more powerful via crafting, questing, PvP, and dungeon/trial boss loot drops.
I hope this doesn't make the current cp160 zones even easier to play so that they can accommodate people with almost no skill unlocks in soul shriven rags who go straight from Coldharbour to what would have previously been a v10 zone.

But the fact that they were working on those other things a long time is NOT reassuring. That only raising the concern that they might not be able to manage quarterly DLC drops.

This is something they should have done at launch, so they finally got it together after 2 years then eh? In fact, I think they should scrap all levels, go old style. ONLY Champion Points AND Skill Levels, so they should remove level restriction on equipments as well, just make it so that the item used during crafting would be the only thing that makes the item more powerful instead of basing it on level as well.

I don't know why they even bother keeping levels in with this change. Might as well just make every new character instant L50 with all the available attributes.

This will royally screw people who manage difficult sections by going somewhere else for a while and out-levelling it.

This is a very bad change IMHO.

Thinking of it, I'm not sure how I feel about dropping alliance restrictions completely on PvE. I remember when they united the servers on GW2 and I absolutely hated it, because I was in a server with a great community (the unofficial RP server) and that was gone overnight. It was a similar situation because, in GW2, servers were what separated people on large-scale PvP, like factions in ESO. One could argue that it is not the same situation because you can already make characters on all three alliances, but on GW2 you could guest on other servers too.

I think that the occasional troll on /zone will appear more frequently with everyone playing with everybody of every faction. This maybe could be sorted out by making the ignore list bigger?

Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

What a bunch of garbage! This isn't news this is a half ass attempt to change content in the game to cater to casual players. It's not even needed for the state of the game!!! Total miss on E3 for news I'd say. This news just makes me wonder who thought up this idea and said this is great!!

Conversation probably went like this - "Hey guys I have a great idea lets not add new content because that takes work and not address Pvp issues we should just let all factions play together and make you battled leveled no matter where you go!"

Apparently enough people In The executive room thought this was good for elder scrolls and wouldn't cost much in labor because they are not creating any new zones, dungeons, trials, Pvp instances, housing areas.

I think it's clear they are focusing on other projects and are happy with the current growth and state of ESO

So I guess I must be in the UN majority then.

I've been playing ESO for over 2 years and having fun. So what if they are uniting Tamriel...it's not like that will make me not want to play the game anymore.

Chill out people! The sky was "supposed" to have fallen a LONG time ago...and yet ESO is still here.

Y'all just go ahead and complain as much as you need to...I'll just be over here enjoying the game ;)

    Two things:
    - I hope that the treasure chests scale now. I for some reason still have my CE treasure maps. Might just put CP in to get the treasure chest passives and go loot everything when this hits.
    - Does this change mean that we can now go to any undaunted enclave, instead of just our own alliance? I really hope so. The one at Elden Root is so damn laggy it's ridiculous.
