Am I the luckiest player in Tamriel?

This isn't trolling. And I'll avoid the hyperbole. But...

PvP has been awesome lately. PS4, Scourge. Usually there is a lot of lag when more than 10-20 players are in the same area, but it's been really nice the last week or so. Did something happen to the servers in the last couple of weeks? I was playing for days before I realized the change. Nonstop legitimate battles: small scale , large scale (played a couple hours between two keeps with two 30+ zergs battling back and forth), and some chance encounters in the middle of nowhere. All of it was fun, fairly lag free, and just...i don't know, I'm just confused.

Is this happening anywhere else? Perhaps I'm on the forums too much and hear all the negativity and don't realize that the game is not as broken as others claim it to be.

(Avalanche of disgruntled PvP hate in 5...4...)

I still suffer from lag in Scourge, however not as frequently as before.
I'm guessing it's because of all the people that got banned for exploiting the sewers so there's less people in PvP now as opposed to before.

What ESO really needs is an Auction Horse.
    That's right... Horse.

People have moved over to Haderus much more and Scourge hasn't been as bad, or so I've heard.

In general I think those within more organized zergs (the ones actually causing lag) have gone to do other things before Dark Brotherhood drops. Grinding new characters, doing undaunted, getting skillpoints/gear, mages guild, etc.

The meta changes next patch, and to accomodate people are getting in last minute stuff so they enjoy Dark Brotherhood as soon as the patch downloads!

Little known fact: lag in generally isn't all that bad on consoles. Many people blow it out of proportion. Any game of NBA2K or Madden with 2 people playing is often worse than a game of ESO with 200.

If anything it's the disconnects that are a problem. Still, no worse than many other games.

Oh, I did notice that I got a couple of disconnects. Frustrating. But it was like three, I think, in a two day period. So not that bad, I guess. None would be better, but sorta splittin' hairs at that point.

Well, hopefully it doesn't get a lot worse after DB launches. When PvP works well, it's all I end up playing. And as a result, the base game gets better because I'm not tired of it. It's a nice break to leave PvP and fish or farm or whatever. But PvP is definitely my favorite part of the game when it's working.

Can't speak for ps4 but the xbox has noticeable game breaking fps lag that zos even confirms to be an issue. Game breaking meaning vmsa fails for example.

If you have over 50mbs pvp will never drop below 5-10fps and does not rubberband anymore,
That's only in battle with 200+ and you should be running a siege anyways.

Most of the time the pvp runs great.
People play on 1990's dial up then curse ZOS.

I harvested 2 Kutas from a single node last weekend! 2 KUTAS ! I've never felt so lucky :D

PVP is still a bit laggy though :/ & I lose sound as soon as I get into a battle... where sound would be really handy!

2 months ago I got 10 kutas from a heavy sack. Thought I was the luckiest kitty. Haven't gotten a single one since. I believe the rng gods met their quota with me for the year.

Eh, I would sort of disagree. You will HOPEFULLY be correct when Dark Brotherhood releases and performance across the board sees improvement like we've been assured it will.

In the TG patch, trials like Maw of Lorkhaj drop you to the 10-15FPS range. Veteran Maelstrom Arena also tends to lag as well, and Vet dungeons often face hefty performance issues if you've played for a couple hours outside of the dungeon before actually running it (must relog to fix).

Largescale PvP (PS4 NA Scourge) battles are the biggest culprit, sometimes having incredible amounts of lag. Can't use abilities or anything. The game drops to the 1-10FPS range.

There came a point when I recorded videos of PvP lag because it had become tremendously bad. Only when I realized how commonplace the lag was did I delete the videos and utterly switch campaigns -_- Lots of people literally switched campaigns to escape the lag.

I don't think that lag is really exasperated, but next patch I have doubts that it will be a big issue anymore (like it has been for a long time!)
