Question about weapon choice..

I've recently hit 50 on 2h after mainly using 1h and shield and I had a thought.

Are players that use two items in their hands at an advantage over 2h, bow, staff users? I mean in terms of having more glyphs available and being able to add more peices when crafting armour sets?

I just assumed glyphs on 2h would be stronger to compensate but it doesn't seem the case.

    The answer is YES op...

but only because of the added set bonus. IF zeni adds a x2 set bonus for those items it will be perfectly balanced.

Higher weapon dmg on 2 hand weapons and added potential for set piece bonus are main advantages. Also, some abilities are only available in certain weapon trees. 2 hand melee has rally and a gap closer for example.

It would be helpful to use the term Dual Wield or 'DW' rather than '2 hand' as the opposing weapon line to DW is 2H or 2 handed. Your first sentence and second sentence combined seem to meld DW and 2H together.

DW has the higher weapon damage and potential for more set piece bonus', 2H had Rally, Critical Charge, and Wrecking Blow.

To the OP, there are advantages and disadvantages, DW does get another glyph and does get another set piece potential as well as slightly higher weapon damage and much higher spell damage. However DW skill tree offers virtually nothing to Magicka, and is probably one of the weaker tree's for stamina outside of one skill Rapid Strikes and its synergy with Maelstrom Daggers.

Glyphs are stronger on 2h compared to 1h pieces.
