Vicious Death - make it also work on npc's? (PVE)

Just curious devs if there is any possibility to get this set to work on NPC's, i mean it's a pretty good set and it would be cool to also have in PvE as well as PvP, personally I don't see why it's only limited to PvP, it wouldnt be that overpowered in PvE cause the person who gets the killing blows are the ones who get the procs.

I mean i'm most likely bound to get pvpers in here crying that it should stay in pvp for whatever reason, but it would be pretty cool to have it swap over. I don't understand why we should have sets limited to one part of the game only.

    So in Cyrodiil and Imperial City we could kill guards or mobs to have them detonate for extra damage against nearby players?
    Use NPCs as bombs against players. You could be onto something here.

    They wanted to try out making gear specifc for pvp and gear specific for pve. It was on one of the theives guild specials.My guess is too many people complaing about good gear that they have to pve or pvp for. Plus as we can tell from forums players want pve and pvp separate. So they are probably planing for future content to be spit that way.

    Also Id like to add stamina needs a set like this as well. I dont see why they made it magicka specific. They could have made it build neutral with more generic bonuses. Right now magicka has better access to every single zerg busting tool available. Proxy det, meteor, vicious death.... Its like all stamina is good at is hiding around like little chickens and ganking stragglers...
    I, for one, would like to see the usefulness of this set expanded beyond just magicka PvP to stamina and even PvE.

    On a side note, Im not too sure how this would affect PvE numbers. Having something explode for 15k damage is a whole lot of damage. Yes only one of the players who got the killing blow would get the proc, but imagine a raid running all mag dps and all wearing this set... It would skew the already favoured mag dps over stam even more.... Like mag DKs and overload sorcs would be kings of DPS. Maybe stam DK can still compete but gg stam nbs and stamplars lol.

    I am so not a fan of seperate PVP and PVe gear sets.

    I don't who had the time or the money to upgrade multiple gear sets in muitple characters. I'm sure there are those that can but that person is not me and non many people I know in game.

    As it as having divines and infused being good PVE traits and Impen being one of if not the best choose for PVP makes gearing out not just a grind but a complete pain the ass.

    All this before you get to inventory management and the absolute *** headache that is in game.

    You realise how ridiculously easy that would make Pve. It already is but this would be like comparing the big bad wolf to blowing down the straw house. I won't complain as I don't Pve often I still Havnt finished my alliance areas lol

    Sure, stack that with Soul Shatter and you can just suicide bomb your way though PVE content. You won't even need a weapon. Just walk around blowing up.

    Don't underestimate stamina, they have access to a wide varity of burst and DOT combinations while magicka is stuck with 3 types of destruction staffs.

    It always seems greener from far away pastures, but in reality they are bleack and rancid.

    Stamina is kind in DPS and functionality, magicka is rigid with very few options. If those options did no DPS then everyone would go stamina for DPS.

    Quite frankly what sickens is the fact you overlook the various sets that give you options for stamina DPS, all Magicka has is clearing groups or going home.

    That would make pve too easy. Bosses with alts around? Blow up 1 alt to start a chain reaction. The boss wouldn't even know what happen.

    This would be very, very unbalancing for PVP if this were done. Keeps, resources and basically everything in the IC would become chain reaction time bombs. Bomber builds are already the kings of AP farming. This would pretty much ensure even fewer people would have a good PVP experience.

    That said, I personally would just figure out a way to adjust, but I seem to be a tad less overreactionary than some on here.

    This would be so incredibly OP. Just slap this on your two dps and you'd be doing vet dungeons in 5 minutes. Imagine Darkshade's construct pull, all that stuff would melt in 10 seconds. Would definitely be funny though!

    You forgot about Nirncruxed gear or what that is called. Those Nirncrux gems cost is really sky high and it is being used for crafting high level end game gear in both PvE and PvP.

    Vicious death is not the only 'pvp exclusive' set.
    Deal with it.
    PvP'rs don't complain about the sets with 'minor aegis' or 'minor slayer' for 2 pieces bonuses.

    Where is players "skill" in using VD set and abilities which proc in the same way?

    I have been playing WvW in GW2 for some time now and can't recall any similar gear or skills that worked in the same way. That is why I asking about how VD actually promote skill full play in PvP.

    No thank you. While I do not agree with the approach, the idea behind VD was to add a counter to the strategy of blobbing/stacking players in PVP.

    IMO, the result is poor gameplay that would only imbalance PVE content that was not designed for it.

    vMA would become much easier. There are really a ton of ways to use the set procs in non-PvP scenarios. Difficult to think up the really effective ways atm.

    In PvP, imagine if all NPCs (Pets, Engine Guardian, keep or resource guards....) could all explode. Definitely would cause problems.

    Personally, I kinda hate this set in general. I have known one guy who had less than 80CP and was a new player run in a zerg only to receive hate messages for being Vicious Death bait.

    The concept of killing something and having it explode for big damage, despite the strength of the enemy, is something I see better in a game like Diablo, not ESO.

    If this set has to stay in ESO, I'd rather it become limited to PvP.

    This is just my own opinion :)

    This set would need a SERIOUS nerf for it to even be remotely balanced in a PvE setting. Just imagine the chain explosions you can pull with it in trials/dungeons, to say nothing of the grinding potential in general PvE.

    You think server lag is bad now, it would be nigh impossible if this set ever worked in Pve.

    Lol if you run Vicious Death in VMA you'll be doing it wrong, trust me.
    It's mainly a scenario for the large trash packs in the trials. They have around 3 Million health, I don't think it would be a huge game changer for PvE it would just be another prox det going off on them, and when you really think about it, it wouldn't exactly be beneficial as the people using steel tornado are normally getting the killing blow against mobs rather than the magicka users.

    You realise prox det used to do around 60k damage to every mob when fully buffed up etc and all 8 DPS used to use it and keep rearming it
    Vicious Death uncapped damage would be around 30k damage, buffed around 48kish, and only the person with the killing blow gets the explosion.

    It's not exactly overpowered when you do some comparisons, you're just too used to seeing it in PvP with multiple of them going off, but if you have multiple people in vicious death in PvE, you lose out on a lot of time.
