Xbox One question about stats cap

I am playing on the Xbox One. I just hit level 15 and put everything into Magic since I don't know what I am doing. Seems to be working for now. I just saw a video on You Tube talking about caps and I am confused now. This video was made over a year ago and it was on PC so I am not sure if it applies to Xbox One or PS4. In his video he is level 14 and put everything into magic as well but it's yellow (or orange) and all the other stats are white. He said he hit some kind of cap. Not sure if it was hard or soft what ever they mean.

So does this still apply to the Xbox One? Why would his be in yellow and I still be in white, unless they changed it now, or consoles are different than PC or maybe he was using a mod. I would like to know so maybe I should be putting some of points into health or stamina.

Caps are gone, with the exception of Armor cap, which is ~33k. The video is outdated.

Yeah man, loading up in either all magic or all stamina is generally the preferred way to play for most people any way. It's very possible to have 40k+ magic and even 50k+ for a few builds. Carry on. You're not doing anything wrong at all.

Thank you very much, greatly appreciated. Nothing worse playing a game finding you did something wrong and restart playing. Something I do with all The Elder Scrolls game and Fallout lol.

@Davor One nice thing about ESO is other then race, class, and alliance, almost everything about a character build can be changed. Stat allocation, skill points, champion points - it can all be reassigned as needed!

A very big thank you for reminding me. I almost deleted my level 17 mage Altmer and start over again. I didn't feel like redoing everything again and again and again. I totally forgot we can respec our stats. So now I don't have to really worry about screwing up, I just learn what I can and respec when I find it's time to do so.
