... is the game bugged to hell, I've just finished playing a 3 hour stint in Shadowfen, leveling a lvl 30 nightblade and the number of bugged quests I've come across is without doubt the highest yet, I leveled about 5 toons and have gone through exactly the same routine using the same quests and they were ok then, I've logged out, drop quests then restaed and done whatever I've done inthe past to get them going but with no joy. this is the first day I've experienced this so whats changed?

I have had quest in Shadowfen bugged also, and so have other players.
So don't worry it is not just you.
Shadowfen seems to be the zone that is worse from all I have read.

I've had a similar issue, when I first started playing the game a year ago it was a lot busier and I had no crashing issues or bugs but throughout leveling alts I've found that more quests are buggy and more crashes in pvp. Surely it should be that the less people on the the games the fewer the issues

But there were less players a year ago, at least on PC. It was actually quite dead.
People started flooding in after the so called "MMO of the year" award.

I am back (occasionally) after a 6 month absence and it seems as busy as ever. In the few day I have played recently, it seems a lot less buggy and much smoother.
