Deltia just made a new sorc vid, sure sorcs are not as tanky as they were played before, they can still be tanky.

People in this game don't like change they don't like learning new rotations, skills, builds. They just want everything to forever stay the same.

@Wrobel "you suck" ( HAH just kidding  You're actually doing good man don't let all the hate get to you, I watched a Youtube video the other night and like 200 people made a terrible # about you ) just ignore them and prove them wrong.

I think Eric just has a hard time explaining what he wants to realise and people take what he says too literally. It's hard to explain something with combat / skills.

Remember you don't have to do it all on your own. My suggestion make a phantom forum account and start throwing out theory crafting or possible skills suggestions out there... See what the community says or wants and also see in game what most players use and enjoy. Then work from that but do NOT use it as your Alpha & Omega just use it as guidelines and stick with your original vision. You guys have changed enough from launch that the game is now your way not the original guys so show us your plans man. PRO TIP: Experiment more on the PTS, do RADICAL changes with skills, trees, passives. Nothing minor. See what happens, just make sure to notify players on the forums or the PTS loading screen that it's temporary and you guys are actually testing things out.

OR make a PTS 2.0 and do it there

Sorcs ARE bad, and deltia is still a terrible player. If he was on ps4 I'd happily 1v1.

In my opinion they tried to fix too many things at once in DB.
Things like vet removal and balance changes. bug fixes should be dome in smaller patches rather than all at once with a DLC release. It is why so many bugs get introduced which are harder to fix because of too many interactions.

I enjoy playing different classes (I mainly pvp) and like that there is always a class imbalance. I had great fun playing a magicka DK before they got buffed up again because not many people's builds were set up to fight against all the DOT fire damage I could do. So whilst it was underpowered compared to many other builds I could be just as successful as a lot of the FOTM builds.
When magicka builds became the FOTM I went back to mostly playing stamina again.
After DB comes to console I will probably be playing my mag sorc much more because making the underpowered classes work is what keeps the game interesting for me.

let me guess... Your a nightblade?

If youre going by class strength, hes a DK or templar. He's definitely not a stamblade.
P2P offered you 'hell yeah!' moments. F2P offers you 'thank god its over' moments.

Funny because the one class I find the most fun to play is Stam Sorc... I have absolutely no problems with it. The biggest complaint Stam Sorcs have is "no class damage abilities" but Wrobel stated that STAMINA builds are supposed to use weapons and have more choices in weapons than Magicka. So if you want Sorcerer class damage, go Magicka... if you want to Stam Sorc, then go weapons... I fully agree with that. Furthermore, I am loving Hurricane and even the change to Critical Surge has been a non-issue for me as I'm still as viable as I was before the change. I think most of the complaints are, "This class doesn't play how I want it to play, therefore it's not viable", when in reality it's a L2P issue. Sorry, but no, you can't just 'play your way' through everything and expect to be 100% successful... that kind of balance would be impossible.

...In what universe are you living? Pretty much the entire community agrees sorcerers are the most boring, dull class to play. Because of the no number of stupid toggles you have less buttons to play and thus less to do with your rotations. The class's ultimates are all pretty bad for stamina users, you have near to no class abilities to slot... How exactly are stamina sorcerers more fun to play? Seriously, please enlighten us, because the skills you have are Dark Exchange (which the great majority believes useless), Hurricane (this one is nice), Surge (which was nerfed into oblivion) and finally Bound Armaments (a toggle that should clearly be a passive).

I just wanna say thanks to all dev team for recently broken cloak which finaly led me to throwing it away and openning place for another skill which is not being broken by gapclosers, WBs, dark fames, flurries and etc.

Another skill is worth mention is Meteor. Which is damn orbital homming missle showing no merci for every staming build opposed to it and has no any counters.

Stamina is seriously overtuned right now. Magicka has some cheese like Vicious Death. This is not balance.

Fixing destro staves so they are unique and powerful for each staff type would go a long way toward improving magicka DKs and Sorcs without buffing magplars or NBs.

He obviously has a class he really likes, and might even play on some, and a class(es) he really dislikes. I'm pretty sure that there are 1-2 races that he pretty much dismisses as well.

This leads to many avoidable imbalances.

Magblade isn't even that strong anymore since the nerf to proxy det. With light armor and a buggy cloak, it's harder than ever to survive.

In any event, it would be nice to have a staff ability that was non-reflectable and didn't just sit in one place on the ground. DKs reflect a destro staff all day, but I guess the same could be said of bows, as well. So...I guess how about a staff ability for close combat? Maybe make one of the staves te melee staff. No one really uses ice or lightning. There's potential there.

I won't blame one single man for every fault with the game. Whilst he's the head person making the changes now he has a lot of work to do because of the meta's that we as players push.

I often remind people that when this game launched there was no Magicka vs Stamina and that's something we as players pushed the game towards, because of that Wrobel and the combat team have been doing a massive overhaul of mechanics and skills to keep up with the new builds an metas that we find.

Look at all the changes made since launch to skills and take the time to look at how many good ones have been made. Sure there are some bad ones as well but this is an on going effort as with all MMO games. The last patch was a massive boost to Stamina users because of the changes in damage types, this is all overshadowed however by the few unfavourable choices made or the Magicka users who feel the patch wasn't for them.

I challenge anyone who wants to blame one man for all of the games balance faults to go and write up a workable and balanced version of every skill and item in the game, for both PvE and PvP and which will make everyone in the community happy at once. You might be surprised how hard that task actually is.

    Keep on roll dodging Wrobel!

You know where u are going wrong ,

1 month they opened servey and threads ZOS them self about this changes they made and thousands of PEOPLE said them this is going to be wrong and u need to fix this and they didnt do a such thing for those...

i think this is unrespectful to people ... they open thread thousands gave answer and they dont listen a thing from those answers so pls dont use those sweet words to make them show them right ok.
    ..

They did it they want it and they didnt care any other ideas...

Enchanting nodes were added back into the wild for potencies.
    Surge was scaled up twice
I think hurricane was added in one of the responses abt more stam sorc.
I think an undaunted was changed back
I know power bash shield thingy got reversed.

These are judt a few of the cases where after thr db pts feedback was coming in they made changes or reversed the previous based on the results... some from thteads i did not follo close enough to be absolutely certain.

Or as you say: didnt listen to a thing or didnt care abt other ideas.

It is NOT disrespectful to hold playtest, solicit feedback, decide to use some but not all of the suggestion (which are often contradictory) and proceed to a final product deriving some elements from your design, some elementd ftom feedback and some elemrnts from the ACTUAL DATA from the platest server play.

It is disrespectful to mischarscterize such as not listrning to snything from the feedback or not caring about ANY of the ideas from the feedbsck. from the feedback. Disrespectful and dishonest.

As to the OP question, i find the balsnce better and the game better. Still some bugsvto work out and likely dome of the stepsvmade will brevtweaked forward or backward BUT THE NET REDULT is overall more interesting, dynsmic and richer with more viable options than before.

I wish people would stop complaining about Argonian passives. I've made mine into a spectacular healer, capable of all forms of content to-date. He's incredibly valuable as a pvp healer as well, very difficult to take down, and capable of cranking out reasonable supplementary damage. He builds a house that is closely comparable to that of what a Templar can accomplish. He buffs his entire group substantially. He solo heals 12man groups.

We don't need max magicka to make Argonians good. We need good players to make them good. I know dozens of Argonian players who are excellent players with excellent gear, and they put people who are still whining about this to shame.

I know the guy has the capability to do this. He is an easy target because he is the first label that can be attached to our situation. The real question is what is the condition up at zos that is causing us to remain in these situations for years? Why has the DK gap closer, a core skill to functional combat, remained broken for over a year? We have the same 15 class skills as when we started 2 years ago and they are still trying to get some of them to even function. What ever condition up at ZOS that is responsible for that has a serious problem that needs immediate change.

Who ever decided that core combat skills should be fixed incrementally forever rather than immediately really needs to rethink their priorities for making a solid game.

From what I've seen. Bring magicka Dk and Sorc in general up to par, correct this...and perhaps for the first time we'll have balance. That said maybe he's doing a better job then everyone is giving him credit for.

You mean like raise shield timer, make them critable, and make pets more useful? While we're at it, why not replace one of the useless skills in daedric summoning with ,maybe something like a daedric ritual you can use to heal yourself or some crap like that.

Or a chain lightning that zaps multiple ,mobs. Idk, sorc skills are just cheesy. They're not good, they're not balanced, they're just cheesy. zos isn't doing anything to make them balanced, and yet viable, they're just making it less cheesy. Which is bad, because sorc players depend on their cheese. Non viable class with no cheese.

Edit: And *** with dat atro? Seriously, so terrible. Its so bad I immediatly know when a teamate is a broken wheel in a dungeon because they summon thay stupid atro. Why not an aoe lightnight storm that gives magica cost reduction by 30% for a few seconds. Similar to nova. Sorcs got shields so replace damage reduction with cost reduction. Maybe a similar ult style for stamina morph. Seriously this class is so broken. In many nonviably cheesy ways. daedric storm plawks.

Believe me, I feel your pain, I've written practically a book on the issue your speaking of lol.

I'm not hurtin'. I favor stamina builds pretty blatently. I did roll a sorc, Immediate;y noticed it was a completely nonviable character. It did pisspoor in combat until I had a shield. That's the issue really. Immediately noticble that the class is just outright stupid, and yet you had to wait untill you unlocked certain skills that were so cheesy you had to use them, if tou didnt, you might as well spam snipe or wrecking blow. I even pity the tanks that get these guys in running petbuilds and atros. All those stupid clanfears pulling aggro, and storm atros that dont dps. :| Poor souls.

As much as I hate sorcs, and their QQing, they're justified to an extent as their class is so underdeveloped that they are reliant on their cheese. This is the exact reason non-sorcs want sorcs nerfed so badly. Some of the QQers need to play a different build for a while to understand the difference between viable, and cheese. <- because in the end, sorcs dont need a nerf, or a buff; they need to be gutted and reworked entirely.

Great post man, glad someone can think past class bias.

I agree and disagree. I think its great he is trying to make changes to balance the game. However when the community is pretty admit about a change destroying a class and he doesn't take that info into consideration there is a problem. While shields needed a SLIGHT rework 6 sec shields is not fun.

That maybe true but saying "hey deltia has a build sorc troubles are over" is far from the truth. I've tried several builds and they all suffer from the same problem high penetration and low mitigation the sorc meta has. All the rest staff solution except healing ward are two slow for the current damage output in the game, shields help prevent that and thats now gone.

All in all I am happy with the current state of the game.

    Yes.

I am going to give this to my customers, remind them that the changes we make are always in response to their feedback, explain to them that they should be happy if the very complex work they pay us to perform is flawed and challenge them to write up a better solution for their needs than what we provide if they want to blame me for any failures.

Then I will patiently wait for the 17 Agrees, 4 awesomes and 3 insightfuls you received.

To anyone who says sorcs are bad, I challenge you to ask some of the AD EU Sorcs up in Sewers if they are bad.

99% of the greatest people in history were told they couldn't do what made them famous.

This isn't the dark ages where truth is determined by dueling. It's not meaningful that you think you can beat him his information is referenced in his videos and parses. The guy has dedicated a huge portion of his time to providing free guides and resources for the entire community. Disagree with him if you want but at least show some respect for someone that contributes to the community, longevity and accessibility of the game.
