I run an Imperial magicka templar tank, the bonus health and stamina are awesome, the life restore on hit is amazing like having a second enchant on my weapon without the need to recharge it. One of the major benefits of being a templar tank is that you can heal yourself on most encounters when the healer is down, or the entire party if you're the last one standing.

Main-bar is Sword and Board, Shielded Assault or Explosive Charge for mobility, Explosive Charge can interrupt multiple casters all packed together. Puncturing Sweep is both your melee AOE and a heal and Pierce Armor is your basic taunt. Repentance for stamina recovery, periodically use it when trash mobs die in combat to keep your stamina bar up. Either Channeled Focus or Restoring Focus is up to you, I prefer Restoring for the extra damage reduction and bonus healing received, but if you find you don't need it then go Channeled Focus for more magicka recovery. Ultimate I use Solar Prison for AOE and trash clean up.

My off-bar is more on doing damage, dual wield swords with Structured Entropy for periodic recovery and spell power boost. Reflective Light for ranged pull on multiple targets, spell crit bonus, and a dot on bosses. Purifying Light at all times while your taunt is actively up, combined they make bosses die faster. Radiant Glory when all 3 dots are up, for ranged targets, or when bosses are doing circular AOE that you don't have to be in melee for. Ritual of Retribution for an extra cast it and forget it type of heal and damage on enemies at the same time. Ultimate on this bar is Aggressive Horn which goes really nice with Purifying Light.

My stats are 32/32 health and magicka, all health enchants, reinforced trait on everything, weapon defending, dw swords are sharpened. 5 Heavy, 1 Medium Glove, 1 Light Belt. Bahraha's Curse is amazing for templar tanks, procs off your Puncturing Sweep often.
