Stealthy Stam NB Boss Destroyer!

So my intended play style for a trial damage dealer is to be a sneaky stam rogue type character. In a trial with 11 others I want to stealth up and hit and run type gameplay. My strategy goes like this. Everyone else starts attacking the boss while i'm stealthed up. Yeah.... stealthy. I stealth up to the boss while he/she is getting beat on by my friends. I get off a couple of attacks while he doesn't suspect it doing MASSIVE DAMAGE! I then run away, stealth up and repeat! BOOM! Doing again MASSIVE DAMAGE! If all my friends die I could stealth up and res them without the boss seeing me so we can continue to beat him down. I feel stamina NB utilizing cloak would be the best option here. What do you think @Wrobel ?

Why would you stop hitting the boss and hide and be like "I gonna assassinate ya"?

LMFAO ROFL.

By the time you hide and hit the boss and hide again, your pals would have dealt 20x the damage you dealt if not higher.

And yeah, bosses as well most mobs have true sight and can see through invisibility.

I'm not sure if this is a troll post or not, but I'll assume it is not.

What you are attempting to build will not be effective.

Stealth can be very effective in PVP, but is not effective whatsoever in PVE (4 man Dungeons/12 man Trials)

The most effective Damage builds develop a rotation (Buff, Spam, Execute) and continuously damage the boss. This usually involves stacking some DoTs on the boss and refreshing them when they expire, keeping your damage buffs maintained, and just all out burning down the boss.

Stealth has no place here. Anytime you spend stealthing/running away is a wasted opportunity to do damage. If you try to do these things in a trial group, you will most likely be booted from the group when they see you stealthing and not doing damage.

What do you think the best race would be for this? I was thinking woodelf because they're small and can slip in and out easier without being seen.

I'm a wood elf and love being able to hide under pebbles as well as going hard stealth up in tree branches but then me group spots me snacking on leaves and votes me out b/c it isn't lore abiding

Here's what I think my bars would look like.

2H Bar,

Shadowy Disquise
Wrecking Blow - MASSIVE Damage
Mass Histeria - because fear is op in pve
ambush - help get close to boss for WB
Vigor - Might need to heal myself to pick up my fallen allies

Back Bar DW

Cloak - Bread and Butter ability need it on both bars
Mark Target - show my allies who i'm attacking
Power Extraction - need some aoe
Shadow Image - used for escape if boss sees me
Crippling Grasp - if i need to move quickly

Yeah, Snipe does MASSIVE damage too but it doesn't fit my play style! I want to be up close and personal!

No one skill does "massive" damage for any class....
Not a one button game. Stamblades are only really for ganking.

You'll be able to gank bosses when you can hit for 20 million damage in a single hit. Good luck with that.

Hey! Come on. Let the man do his work! It is a work in progress, but it is wild work, and dangerous.

I don't know if you're in the market for an ulti but you might want to consider soul assault for circumstances when a boss wriggles free from your grasp; Blood Spawn, for example, although I know you are hunting bigger fish.

I once did some theory crafting with an old, dead friend, and we struck gold with the Dragonknat, a bow / bow build relying on the wombocombo of magnum shot and chains on the bow bar as well as the off-bow. Give a think to an ambush-related variation on this classic move, since there will be situations which will call for a timely escape followed by an immediate leap directly back into the danger zone. You will have to come up with a different name because you are not a Dragongnat and you could get in really big trouble if you call yourself that.

Sadly, I come back to this post with bad news. I got invited into a normal Maw Of Lorkaj trial and using my tactics was not able to one shot bosses. @Wrobel Anyway Stamina Nightblades can get a buff to be able to do so?

Pretty sure that's the point of the thread. He's illustrating how they are only good for ganking.

While bad at pve, I do think they are top for pvp in general. Even more sustain, not straight up gank builds are incredibly strong.
