I recently made a concerted effort to get these two achievements. I was very surprised when I killed my last general with around 230 dark anchors closed. I thought it would be the other way around. Now I proudly wear the title "Daedric Lord Slayer."

✭I got Daedric Lord Slayer ages before Enemy of Coldharbour which I only earned a couple of weeks ago.
That did, however, entail several hours one night in Shadowfen running in a loop praying for one of the bosses to spawn. There was a lot of /kowtowing to the anchor point...1 -

✭✭✭✭✭I got the Daedric Lord Slayer first, but I went specifically after the generals by staying in the appropriated maps of my home alliance until I got all the ones of that map instead of farming anchors in Gold/Silver areas or Cyrodiil.Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.
Meet my characters:Command: Do the thing.
Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.0 -

I just do Dolemns in Cyrodiil and occasionally get a named boss but I'm still missing I believe 3-4 bosses on my Main.Argonian forever0 -

✭Go the Daedric Lord Slayer first because I don't have patience to farm dolmens for next to no rewards (back in the day). Enemy of Coldharbour I've got much later while, look the irony, farming Molag Bal in Imperial City Sewers.I am the very model of a scientist Salarian, I've studied species Turian, Asari, and Batarian.
I'm quite good at genetics (as a subset of biology) because I am an expert (which I know is a tautology).

I don't know about the challenge part. I think it's more of patience. You definitely have to fish a lot with lots of luck to get the Master Angler, and the monster hunter trophy.. the most annoying is having to go around killing 500 freaking mudcrabs. I guess we could call it a challenge of patience, then. Lol!0 -

Tbh at first I was very lucky with finding those generals and I got all but one when I had like 150/250 dolmens completed. Then I had to grind a bit up to 210/250 just to find the last one...0 -

brtomkin✭✭✭I have Daedric Lord Slayer on two characters. It took somewhere around 150-180 dolmens for both - it helps if you look for the generals in the correct zones (this is a good guide: http://tamrieljournal.com/eso-general-executioner-daedric-red-dye-guide/ ).
I finished the achievement in the low - mid vet levels on both characters. I don't grind the dolmens - I do as many dolmens as I can when they are convenient while I am leveling in the questing zones. By doing this, I already have 80 - 100 dolmens complete and 8 or 9 generals done when I decide to grind the last 6 or 7 generals. For those that think waiting and closing the pinions at the end helps... I don't think it does. I never waited until the end to close the pinions and I averaged one unique general out of every 10 dolmens for two characters.
I love this achievement because I love doing dolmens, especially while I am low-level and not OP. Now, I am leveling a new character without assigning champion points. Last night at level 21, I soloed my second dolmen with this character and it was awesome. I did the level 21 dolmen in Stormhaven (Menevia Dolmen). They are actually very challenging to solo when you are not over-leveled and with no champion points. The only other dolmen I soloed with this character was at around level 15, I died two or three times.PS5 NA: Pickmans__Model, CP 2600+0 -
