AAH, I went Sword/Shield, to have more set options, and to increase defense.
    Thank you for explaining.

As to the build I hope it is fixable, now with DB being released.

    Pet Abilities Scale with CP.

Use Familiar's ability with No CP in thaumaturge and then use his ability with 70 points in and watch his ability deal more damage! It's a DoT.

Edit: Put points into Bless CP and watch Matriarch's heals increase
Well, as said, I did try several things, but never noticed an increase in either damage or survivability.
ATM I am half SE and the other one, Elfborn i think?
But i do not notice a single thing different, and TBH, i mostly tested around my Drain.

Now, once i can afford the suggested gear, I will retry my character, I am lately not logging in, save for yesterday 10 minutes, being wiped like 30 times, and had enough of it.

Still odd, that CP nor Stealth has influence on Accelerated drain.

I think there's controllers you can use on PC, I switched to console because it was easier for me. Anyways, I think you need to develop a rotation of some sorts. It makes things much easier and smoother.....I'm not familiar with how the keyboard swaps to back bar and what not. Even if it's 3 keys, swap, same 3 keys swap etc.

I back bar like Bow for arrow barrage, caltrops, rearming trap SWAP Drain, crystal frags, liquid lightning etc.

I have an immense dislike vs consoles, for a plethora of reasons...
For one, them controllers, and the lack of possibilities such as addons, mods, ...

Now, once i can afford the suggested gear, I will retry my character,

Are you on the PC/NA Server? If so, I can help you out with the gear. Just need a stack of mats for CP150*. Get me some Purple or Gold Aspects and some Makko's (I am running low on those) and I will even enchant it for you. We can discuss Tempers, but I don't sell my Purples or Golds.

*The difference between CP150 and CP160 is very small on Armor

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

OOH, nifty, but since I never had use for it... I never looked at it.
Seems i need to go spam Ward.
I am hoping, however, and this will probably be disappointing for me, that the set suggested by @Nestor will help me out...
I can't handle more than 2 buttons in a game, heh.

With updated pets, ability selections etc I dropped resto staff, dropped Clannfear for familiar etc...

My sig has the TG updated version. Once db drops for console ill post the most up to date version yet!

I try to say this in the nicest possible way, but as a Summoner every time I found your guide I was only in for disappointment: after all, the majority of the skills you recommend having nothing to do with Summoning at all, and then you go ahead and recommend people drop the pets from your pet build for essentially anything that isn't solo questing.

I mean, I'm sorry, but I can never really take something like that as a pet build: it's just a Sorc build that includes pets "when convenient". I hope if you do update it, you focus a little more on the pets than them just sort of being there as a requirement for naming the build... =/

I can't handle more than 2 buttons in a game, heh.

Herein lies the problem, then: your build doesn't shield your pets, and you took Unstable (Familiar?) and Twilight Tormentor which are pure "DPS" morphs. This basically means you and both your pets are very squishy with little survivability, which is why they're dying so often: Conjured Ward exists to shield pets from damage so they don't die, and shields you as well! It's amazing to have and I'd say practically a requirement to use pets seriously.

Clanffer and Twilight Matriach, the other moprhs, and essentially a "tank" (Clanffer will taunt it's target if only you is on the threat table, IE you're the only one attacking it or are solo) and "healer" morph respectively, unlike the other two. They can't boost their own damage, but Clanffer can heal itself (and you) for 35% of your total HP upon command, the Twilight Matriarch can dish out a huge heal on demand to 2 allies with the lowest health: when it's just you, Matriarch and Clanffer questing in the world, then it applies to 2/3 of your group!

With a Conjured Ward morph up, Clanffer and Matriach are essentially invincible save some massive (Veteran Dungeon level) hits, and they can be healed while Ward is up so the don't die instantly when it ends if they're already low. Now Ward probably won't work as well on Unstable Familiar just because it's HP is so low (both Twilight's have the same HP), but it'll double it's time alive by eating up a chunk of damage: and as long as you have the Magicka, you can keep applying new Wards and give them a perma-shield.

As far as "too many buttons" go, it's actually quite simple: I mean I basically just use all the Summoning skill line skills on my bar and call it a day.

Clanffer, summon then let him go, don't need to press this unless he dies/you want to use his heal active
Daedric Prey for debuffing one enemy (great on bosses) to take more pet damage, though you can use Vampire Drain in this spot and notice little difference
Twilight Matriach, summon then use her heal active to heal Clanffer and Matriach (or self if dying) every so often
Empowered Ward, put it on and keep applying it as fights go on: this is really the only skill you need to use often
My final slot I use Bound Armor for the +8% magicka bonus and extra resistances (via the non-stamina morph)
And Ultimate I use Storm Antronach because hooray another summon every so often

Combat is really easy, at least with this setup, I basically just summon pets and use Ward as they fight while attacking and Twilight healing sometimes. Half the time I don't even use Daedric Prey at all unless it's a boss mob. Shouldn't be too complicated, even swapping in whatever skills you want to use and so on.

Being a pet sorc/summoner is basically ESO made easy, you shouldn't have problems with it (at least use Conjured Ward, if nothing else: it'll increase your pets survivable rates by miles and miles).

    No problem?
Mine get wiped in seconds, I am CP194, mobs CP160 (or so they are said to be), and two mobs my pets cannot handle anymore.
With three, I need to be cautious, or I die.
And I am not mentioning bosses.

Before, those very same mobs could be dealt with, up to 6 of them simultaneous.
World Bossed my level could be solo'ed by me, using wits.

So don't tell me they are fine.

While they are the same mobs in name only, their stats took a large boost from Gold zones previous VR6 - VR10, and VR14 in Craglorn; they are now all equivalent to VR16. Silver zones are basically VR1 - VR15, if you want a fair comparison you should fight mobs that are 60 - 100 CP and 140 CP.

What I don't get is that they made all of gold cp160 but it still gives out quicksilver/silverweed etc in the early zones.

    O....K....?
And I should have taken tank pets... why?
I had no use for it, pre-BD.
    NONE use at all.
So, give me ONE good reason, I should have gone tank pet?
DPS was by FAR the most logical.

As to, I want to use abilities?
I do not, means far more buttons to be pressed, and this confuses me beyond anything.
Hence I kept my prime as basic as possible.

You're free to build any way you like, but all I'm saying if you're having trouble keeping your pets alive and they're both DPS pets, you should really look into Conjured Ward and it's morphs: it's entire purpose was to shield pets and keep them around longer, it shielding the player is just a bonus.

"Tank pets", the ones that can heal (themselves and others) are just a whole lot easier to keep alive, and I almost never have to resummons them. If you prefer DPS pets, go for it, but keep in mind they're not doing any DPS while dead either if you're not doing anything to shield them.

As far as abilities though, I'm not sure how the "one bar only" I described is at all too many... 3 of them are pet summons, 1 is a toggle then forget, and another is "use it if you feel like it". Only Conjured Ward "spam" is a must have button press.

I don't think you have less than one full bar and not be gimping yourself terribly, and I say that in the context of being a summoner, who in ESO is seen as "gimping yourself" to begin with.

Well, I never had the issue, hence I never had to go tank pet.
    Everything got screwed by DB.
I took on World Bosses my own level, and survive.
Now... I can't even deal with htree white mobs in The Rift.

Now tell me that is normal.

Something went quite bad in DB.

I need to adapt, hell yes, once I can buy the suggested gear from @Nestor and revise my character, I hope I can still keep him as simple.
Otherwise, I'm pretty much screwed, I fear...
