Everybody is always talking about what sets, especially the monster sets. But when I look at their bonuses, even for gold items, I just don't see how they could ever make up the ground to the stats some people show here. Must be missing something, obviously.

Some of the set combo's allow you to get a really high base stat, and then you stack every single % bonus in the game on top of that. It can add up to a lot.

Supposing the alchemist proc is used on 2nd bar, we swap to main bar, replacing 1 armor piece and the maelstrom weapon to get a full WD set bonus, thus getting 129 WD instead of 94.
Changed DW sword passive back (raw damage instead of WD), added medium armor 5 piece bonus (12%)

In WW form go can get even more weapon damage buffs (10% from hircines rage, 18% from ww passive) but I'm not sure if you can slot fighters guild skills for their passives in WW form, so you might not get the total 28% increase from going WW.

All of the weapon damage is useless with 3k armor pen. Anything with 15k+ physical, or even worse 25k+ buffed, is going to give you a very bad time.

Well we can all agree this is purely stats show off, just like maxing out magicka, health or crit, has no real combat potential. It also shows us that lack of soft caps and speccing in to min/maxing brings out however impressing but unplayable builds.

Ravager > Skirmisher for raw weapon damage, and Powerful Assault is the Assault ability set. Meritorious Service is the Support ability set and gives resistances.
