Barber Shop alternative,..a wish.

What I wish would happen is for ZOS to just add the character changes to the character load area.Just put an option to reset a character's looks and name.Nothing else but that.It would be much simpler option.
I know,I know,..ZOS wants to make money.Fine, with character slots and the rest.
It's just a wish of mine to add these things to the character load screen area.

I like it, as any other option to change toon look and/or name with in game gold, but im afraid that ZOS likes $ much more...

Name change scroll should be for crowns only to tone down possible abuse.

Barber shop should just have one interface - the original character appearance edits, plus additional for-gold sliders.
You'd be surprised how many people would be confused if there are two barber shop interfaces.

I didnt say to have two barber shops.I was meaning to have character changes added into the character load area. Not ingame at all. When you go to pick which character you want to play, there would be an option to change their looks and names. Nothing like race or faction though. :)

No original character editor is terrible because players are viewed ingame from a top down view and creator a bottom up view making a large portion of the time a player made not looking the way you intended ingame also the creator lighting is terrible. It needs a slide up option on camera not jist a zoom in. Can't count the amount of time I made a hot sexy elf in creator then log in to a potato once in game with a huge chin or forhead and gappy eyes that all look different when viewed from a slightly different angle.

For me a huge part of TES is immersion. The more a function is simply "press-button-to-do" , the less likely I am to actually use them. If it's just part of the character select screen I'd probably not use it often. I spend a lot... a LOT of time on my characters look. I don't leave dissatisfied. If it's an in-game immersive system, I'll play with it and check it out often... otherwise. I'm not that interested beyond the couple of times I may need it.

Well,if you are just changing looks or a name, why does it need to be ingame? I can see it for dyes and crafting, but there's no need for immersion just to do those two changes.I mean,it isnt part of roleplay to change your characters name or looks.

That's just you wanting them to be part of roleplay. I want something different, and to me,personally,I dont find that standing ingame at a dye-like table changing my name or looks to be immersive.I would rather take my time and work the changes privately. I guess its immersive for you to stand at that table with heaven knows how many others, doing the changes.Well, that's ok.Just not for me.I would rather not have to hunt down a place to do it.

As it goes for appearance it could be polymorph mage that uses his magic to change your look, or some thieves guild makeup expert that usualy helps them to loose heat but for a fee he can help you or smth like that. Name change is even simpler. We could have some kind of a registry office that stores names citizens of Tamriel, and when we would like to change our name we just go there and bribr a functionary. It could be useful in quest and RP, so you could have undercover missions and sucha...

Yes,ingame ways to change your looks and name.If it were ingame,it would be like another Barber shop.
I prefer not to do it ingame, but rather at character selection.
As I say,it isnt part of gameplay that I suggested.Just a quick way tro change things up before going ingame.
    ***Having said that,..
It just might work ingame on second thought,if one can find a well lit area to do it.Most indoor places in ESO are dark, and You cant see your character properly.Like the Dye station in Vulkhel Guard. Its quite dark, with only a bit of light from those torch lamps. So seeing the right colors can be rough.

This is the lazy fix, we need barber shops ect. because for those of us who actually DID spend a good time creating our characters looks instead of clicking on random  we might just want a new beard or hairstyle as time has moved on...

Perhaps give a character that was "young" some age...

So I do NOT just want the current hair, beard, tattoo styles we want new ones!

Also new adornments, jewellery for the ladies and pirates, horns for the Argonians, rings for the Khajiit, bandanna's for the redguards, crowns for the Imperials and Bretons!

If ZoS wants to make money, they simply need to keep their players happy. There's enough of a hook with Crafting Bags to get players to Subscribe.

Now they should seriously think about adding such quality of life mechanisms to the game without there being a Crown Store link.

Make the game truly wonderful and players will be playing for years and years to come. Focus on making money and you just have to have a look at the other games out there that have come and gone before ESO to realise what a terminal long-term mistake that is.

Lazy fix? Its not lazy.I take great care with my characters, and if once ingame, they look odd or I missed something,.I actually say, sorry, but I have to redo you.And when I type delete,I feel a bit sad.And if I didnt have to do that,Id be happier.Id just log to character choice, and hit the edit option there.I dont mind that there is a barber shop, for those who really reakky want to pay for it,but I would rather not. Also, thsi thread didnt advocate the creation of nytrhing new, like more beards, hair, etc. It simply stated a way to change things without hassle, and having to pay a high fee, which everyone seems to want to do.Every time changes are mentioned someone speaks up calling out for a massive price to change things.
I dont care for that.Just my personal feelings. :)

I don't care how it is implemented, I just want my Altmer to have black hair
Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.
