Queued up last night for random non vet dungeon, get into a group for Wayrest Sewers, get to the first mini boss (Slimejaw) and promptly knock him off. The Vet16 DPS in the group then decides to do some fishing. The rest of us clean up all of the adds in the next boss room, giving him an opportunity to finish what he is doing and join us, but all he does is keep fishing. He is not in group chat at all so we boot him, re-queue and finish the dungeon quite easily with a level 17 DPS.

Just curious to know if this is the sort of thing other players have seen as I had not seen it before last night.
Was he just having a laugh or did he think we would not kick him as he was Vet16?

I can only guess he was probably having a laugh... That or maybe he had to suddenly afk maybe?

I have had a tank who didn't tank ( taunt) but just did push up emotes. I had DPS run around the corner, and hide more than once though about 7 times so I think that's a thing?

About the stupidest thing I can think I am part off With friends only; vet banished cells we have a tradition so we all put on the maw helm and try to get the daodrith to spawn and take screenshots and caption them. Then we send those to each other That's with friends though and we die mucking about sometimes - but it's fun.

In a different MMO, I remember a guild member who would get really irked on dungeon runs if we brought another healer. Thing is, she would only heal herself. She'd also throw a fit in chat if we ran a dungeon without her. Even if she was offline when the team was forming.

    Some of my favorites:

1.) People who join a run and have ZERO soul gems, then expect us to sit and wait while they wayshrine and run back everybtime they die. Not to mention the fact that they can't raise others.

2.) People who join and then go AFK every couple minutes.

3.) People who queue as a tank or healer, but only have a DPS loadout.

4.) People who join, but have 12k HP and no food.

5.) The bad-ass who posts DPS parses after every pull. Not even bosses...trash pulls. Congrats. We're all very impressed.

    Are you serious?
Someone gets some leniency if they communicate and he had been given enough time. I am happy to wait while people go pick up the pledge, get some food/potions, clear inventory, etc., as long as they communicate.

I am a master angler and I can assure you that fishing in dungeons is not required for the achievement. Should a player choose to try his luck there, what he should do is ask friends or guildies to help him get there up to the desired fishing spot and fish happily. Frankly, doing this in a PUG sounds like pure trolling to me. I'd have kicked him too.

Although I agree with most of these I'd tend to disagree with point 3, mainly because there's less and less need for tanks in this game. You can get by in most dungeons with 3 average DPS and a healer, or 4 decent DPS for that matter. In fact some dungeons are easier without a tank (vet darkshade for example)

It just boils down to DPS not realising you have to self sustain to a degree and stop relying on having your hand held by the tank as he take literally ALL the aggro and expect the healer to only be looking at your health bars and not contributing to damage.

I think that if you queue up using group finder, other people expect you to perform the role that you entered as. If you want to work any other way you should probably only group up with people you know.

I know that a lot of dungeon content does not require a tank but that is for ZOS to address - either by changing the dungeons or changing the grouping requirements.

Got to say I agree with disintegr8 on this one.
If you want to play with 3 dps and a healer, or any other format outside the norm, you need a team of like minded players. The very least you can do is state thats what your aiming for, when you lead or join a pug. If everyones on board then people can set up accordingly, otherwise people expect you to do what it says on the role.

Weather you need a tank or not is not the issue. Some people like to play with tanks, if someone is marked as one they expect them to play as one.

Alot of my problems with pug is communication. Playing as 3 dps and healer is cool, but as long as everyone agrees, if you miss mark your role and the teams not on board, have the respect to change or find a new group.

Thats the biggest bug bearer for me. Have all the patience in the world for, new players, old players, arogant players, rushing players, blameless players, angry aggressive players or any other player.

Please just jump on the mic/keyboard and have a nice conversation.

I had possibly the worst healer ive ever had yesterday in vCOA. They didn't have soul gems and didn't let anyone resurrect them neither. They couldn't find there way back to were we were and on there way back they managed to die constantly despite the fact that all the mobs were killed. Our tank was in a hurry so we decided to 3 man the rest. At the end we finished it easily and somehow the healer got credit for doing nothing. I hope he was drunk or high because that person's performance was awful.

I went with someone who was way above us all. Just rushed the dungeons, killing everything for us, while I could barely have time to read and follow the quest.

    Never again! ;(

And oh yeah - people in Cyrodiil that don't have the soul gems OR don't "see" the dead, just saving their arses hidden behind the walls.

I love it when the crappiest player has "the crown" and uses it to start kicking people after their ineptitude causes wipes. Happened this morning, actually. Fellah just started purging members when he was clearly the weakest link.

At least that changed with this patch (soon for console).

Also, if you're queuing as a healer, do that job first and worry about dps, second. If you can't multitask like that and people are dying, focus on the job for which you qued.

I say this as someone who exclusively plays tanks and healers.

He also does not have to be in the dungeon to get that achievement.

Communication is big. One of my biggest problems is people coming into a boss fight and not knowing it but not telling anyone about it. I don't mind if you're new. I like new players coming in and trying stuff, and I'm happy to help people do content they haven't done before. Please tell me, though, so I can tell you how the fight works. Don't fight Murklight by standing in the red and then jumping out of the circles when they turn white. Don't charge in at the Planar Inhibitor, ignore the pinion and keep trying to tank her when the flame turns blue. It doesn't work. Just ask, "How does this fight work?" or better yet from the beginning, "I've never been in here before, can you let me know how the fights go?" There is a reason Teamspeak exists. I know some people can't use it for whatever reason, but you should if you can and are knew to the content.

I don't like it when it is something like VCOH and you need a tank at the end and the tank has 30k health, is DPSING with DW, and when I (healer) ask: Do you have tank gear for final boss?
Reply: We're good (yeah literally), we don't need tank.

Yes but you do have tank gear for the ghosts at last boss?
    Reply: Chill.

Oh Hunny No. I'm not derping through that to literally only wipe at the end.

I don't mind things being hard, and I don't even mind wiping a bunch if folks are new to content, but when the last boss will be an impossibility or at least a real uncertainty due to no real answer, I just don't want to throw my time and gold down that drain.

Hmmm but if you're not in TS probably they think that someone doesn't know how it goes because wiping on dungeons is not normally the thing you do if you know it.
