Just what the title says... Why is this ghetto text filter cutting off half of perfectly normal words? Yesterday I tried to say "tasting emote" when talking about the cooking animation. Today I see someone else saying something that ends in "ting" followed by a word that starts with "e". If it's for another language, limit it to people using the option for that language.
These kinds of lazy blanket filters make games feel cheap and needlessly hinder communication.

Pretty much. Wasn't there some combination of numbers that was filter as well because it can become part of a racial slur? I forget what it is now but there was a thread on it before.
Personally I just turn off swear filters. I am a big enough boy to not be offended by bad words.
